Hirsch has released a kit for the SAAB 9-3 which adds great looks along with grunty performance. The 9-3 2.0T XWD now has reduced drag for better fuel efficiency and improved stability. Exterior treatment includes side skirts, a rear diffuser, four-piece mesh front grille and a bigger rear lid spoiler.

A Hirsch Performance upgrade to the engine's software system ensures a healthy surge of 240 hp (179 kW) and 350Nm of pulling torque. That only 7 hp shy of the standard 247 hp, 2.8-litre V6 turbo.

Two gearboxes accompany the Hirsch SAAB 9-3, a manual and an automatic, both running up to 6 gears each. The manual does a 0 - 100 km/h time (62 mph) of 7.3 seconds, 7.5 seconds for the automatic, and a top speeds of 245 km/h (152 mph) and 240 km/h (149 mph) respectively. Combined C02 emissions figures amount to 195 g/km for the manual and 227 g/km in the automatic.

The whole kit can be purchased for the equivalent of US $4,600 and individual components can be bought separately from the Hirsch website.

Weak, 245km/h? My 9-5 had 306hp and went 282km/h and cost me a lot less than this to get it that fast.

same 2.0T engine? Tuning with warranty? Legally made tuning? Emissions are still in limits?

it was the 2.3 Aero, i guess there would still be warranty there is no real way for them to tell id just put the original parts back on, i had 2 ECUs, the stock one and a maptun one. It was just a genuinesaab intake+air filter, 3" exhaust, the tuned ecu and a modified turbo, ported the turbo housing and changed the compressor wheel. Emissions were still way bellow canadian emission standards, not so much after i took off the cat :p
