Hey, here's a car you can give to your 6-year old for Christmas.

The SuperSport Junior Pedal Car is built to 2/3 scale and is based on the original Morgan 3-wheel vehicles built by Morgan founder HFS Morgan at the beginning of the 20th Century.

The car features high quality materials to keep the weight down and is made from aluminum. Morgan Motor Company says it has designed this pedal-powered car for 6 to 13 year olds.

Morgan will make only 500 of the SuperSport Junior Pedal Car. Each will sell for 2,510 UK pounds, or 2,642 euros. Leather upholstery will cost you an extra 250 pounds.

Okay, let's get this out of the way: It's a tricycle. A very expensive tricycle.

But what if they made this car for adults? Larger and with a battery and no pedals? Yes, that's a great idea. An electric car!

SuperSport Junior

In our Centenary year no celebration from a car manufacturer as special as Morgan would be complete without the introduction of a new model.

In keeping with the tradition of doing things our own way, we are delighted to announce a new model - the SuperSport Junior Pedal Car.

Designed to be built alongside the normal range of cars at the factory, the 2/3rd scale SuperSports Junior pedal car will appeal to the younger element of the Morgan fraternity.
Suitable for 6-13 year olds, it requires energetic pedal power rather than petrol or hydrogen for forward motion.

True to our core Morgan values it retains our legendary high power to weight ratio.

Made from only the highest quality materials and featuring a cast aluminium look-alike engine, the limited run of 500 are expected to sell as fast as they move!

Disclaimer:

The pedal car project will commence when the Morgan Motor Company receive over 200 deposits. Production is planned to start in August 2009, and cars will be built in order. Details may change from illustrations. Total price £2,510 excluding VAT and delivery. Colour choice plus leather upholstery £250.00

I would love one of these! (Sans the faux engine.) Canadians are desperately lacking in interesting transportation.

If they made one for adults, had 2-seats, a small engine for a cheap price, I'd buy one.

I'd even consider a kit version (like Caterham) if that's needed to get around any safety and other legislation.

no 6 year old is going to want this, they should just enlarge it, put a small engine in it and sell at a good price to adults... come on Morgan you are all adults, i am 13 and i came up with this

There is a kit car from England...the JZR. I built one with a Honda 650 CX engine. Easy kit to build. David
