G-POWER is pushing relentlessly towards becoming a serious contender as a force of nature comparable to the sun. After recording a speed of 367.6km/h (228.4 mph), the 750hp / 559kW G-POWER M5 HURRICANE RS is officially the "fastest sedan in the world, taking the record from the bi-turbo V12 BRABUS Rocket. That car is based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS and does 362.4km/h.

G-POWER modified the M5 HURRICANE RS through enlarged capacity twin superchargers supplied by ASA. Boost level went from 0.7 bar to 0.8 bar. What's scarier is that G-POWER says they can raise this up to 1.0 bar for even more performance. "We can still improve," says CEO and engineer Christian Stöber, "if we see the need for it."

First thing enter BRABUS website then check the tech. specs of the Rocket, the top speed is 227.4 mph ( 366 km ).

so it's only 1 km faster, and no matter what they did a brabus is a brabus, they can break this record tomorrow if they want.

I prefer the Rocket over it, it's nicer and more luxurious and it's a BRABUS!

Don't get how come you're so high on Brabus... I don't remember any 3 cylnders engined car in ///M's catalogue. Ah yeah, I don't remember any ///M car slower than the regular model either.

factory/tuner specs are estimates--you can only go by actual tested results. Be that as it may, the cls is one ugly car. the m5 actually looks 20x better than the cls. the m5 drives better than the cls. therefore: m5 is superior to the cls. get off the benz bandwagon.

could not agree more + this is a mbw which from my experience tells me that it will break down on every corner but the rocket is a merc which also from my experience means that it will last.

you must be joking. Watch fifth gear test of the Rocket on youtube, were after trying to reach its max speed on Autobahn it simply broke!

even if BMW brakes by the corner(which i believe it doesn't), it makes the corner then it brakes, but the merc cant even make the corner, it will just fail to steer and crash...c'z BMW is made to be driven fast and on the limit and can take the power but merc is just to show off and cruising...

bmws are far more reliable than mercs, so you don't know from experience, and you're probably lying cuz you may not like bmws, but just because u dont like something dont go spreading lies, and that youtube vid proves it

LOL@@@@ MR66 you just said BMW will break down on each corner and MB will last LMAO....Funniest comment Ive read by far. Hint Hint you know nothing about both cars you just think you know. And BMW keep up the goodjob on your Naturaly asipirated M's. 100hp per liter and no forced induction...Props to that. Puting forced induction into one car and comparing it to an NA car is like pumping steroids into one person and not the other.

I'm very happy for BMW to set a new World record, however, I belive Mercedes-Benz will beat this record next year, for sure! There is no way MB will let BMW hold on to this record for more then a few months. In march CLS will go 367+km/h. Go Mercedes!

and if i'm not mistaken, kimbo, g-power hurricane also broke down in its first attempt to brake the speed record. so it seems after all its not so much better than a brabus rocket. and i think the rocket went up until 365,7 as well, but i'm not sure.

There is a typo mistake: 228.4mph = 367.5km/h (and not 365.7km/h), so it is really faster than the rocket.

Mark my words: MB will never let BMW win the "HP war" and hold sedan world speed record. The question is: how long do we have to wait till CLS will make 370km/h. I say, not to long!

Before CLS the E-class Brabus was the fastest sedan So i think Brabus would make the CLS faster They will Make the 2010 E class the fastest sedan.
