New BMW Z4 is an Art Car of a different kind - Painting Dynamics

Nice marketing gimmick, but given the poor state of economy, the sales are going to be slow.

What BS. Seemingly random, but attention to detail? How? It doesn't make sense. Looks pretty random, and not to mention ugly to me. Maybe I just lack a taste in fine arts.

This is the lamest idea I have ever seen from BMW. Years back when custom paint was applied to various models, that made sense, artists working with the metal, but driving around making circles... "painted by the new Z4"? WTF! So lame it makes me wanna hurl.

I'd love to see the expression on the technician's face when they bring this car in for servicing. "Uh... You did WHAT with the car?" Now, I do appreciate the arts, and I can usually understand when artists talk about exploring different media and means, but I have yet to see a single example of fine arts and cars working well together. Artists often completely lack a fundamental understanding of the importance of cars which ruins the impact of the piece. This is a prime example. The trouble is, if you hate on artists, you are a philistine; however, this is still a ridiculous stunt.

It is very nice, good idea. You see, great ideas like these only work with a great car like the Z4. You cannot do that with a Tata because it would just become a bad idea.
