given the latest statistics, ferrari has increased sales by 3%, compared to last year, only one with a positive number. I guess anything that ferrari makes will sell. Ferrari Rules

So correct me if I'm wrong, but with the power hardtop it's actually lighter? Impressive!

Impressive. It looks better than the coupe (with the top down atleast) but how will it fare the coupe on the track, even though it is faster than the other convy's Ferrari has made.

Are you sure that the Scuderia is running the double clutch gearbox?

Ferrari's problem is Corvette. From a distance you cannot differentiate between a Ferrari and a Corvette. That is why Lamborghini, despite being technologically and in performance inferior to Ferrari has done very well in US. Aston Martin and Maseratti also take away sales from Ferrari.

Get your eyes checked buddy. Hey, you can dress up a turd, but it's still a turd. Corvette is not a problem for Ferrari. Different league, different buyer.

so basically your trying to elaborate in a strange and non intended way from the original Jeremy Clarkeson comment about a +five year old Ferrari 575M Maranello. this looked similar to the corvette Z06 in its proportions. what jezza was not saying however, that the fact that they look similar would basically fool people into buying the cheaper corvette alternative! you are taking a statement from the most satirical human on the planet and you've managed to completely misinterpret it! a ferrari will sell because of that badge and all it brings in terms of power, prestige, and puss.... err, females!

It is same to say that Ferrari's problem is a Kia Sephia. In other hand its truth, trash oraund us is always have been a problem.

lighter? uhm, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the coupe scuderia 1250 kg? which makes this 90kg heavier? and what's the point of a convertible track performer, other than show-off value, which you get in the regular 430 spyder, and which nobody but real car-lovers/petrol heads can tell apart anyway?

Unless they decided to equip the 16M with the California's gearbox for some reason, it's not a twin-clutch affair. I don't understand why Ferrari would changed the technological package of the Scuderia in the first place, it's received nothing but critical adulation anyways.
And I'm all but certain that it doesn't have a hard top either, that seems unrealistic given the meager stowage space.
Someone glancing at the California's fact sheet, perhaps?

I still want to see this 'convertible hardtop', I still don't believe it exists - we'd have seen it by now if it did. Same goes for the use of the double-clutch 'box on this car - the Scuderia is all about F1-style lightning shifts, not smooth, seamless, double-clutched ones. They just wouldn't. There's a huge 'I told you so' coming atcha WCF.

it's quite unfair to conclude that ferrari rocks because its sales is up 3%. it's a much smaller scale automaker who is making at least 100 times fewer cars than others like MB or porsche etc.. imagine if they build as many as MB, the market is gonna so flooded with their cars unsold and they will have their sales down 80% at least in this economy..

Incredible how they managed to get almost EVERYTHING wrong in this article!! I guess they didn't see the introduction of the car at the Ferrari World Finals in multiple different colors. No retractable hardtop, its a retractable soft top. Approximately 1500 Scuderia hardtops will be produced not 499. Get your facts right before you right an article. We expect more from you "experts' in the news media!!!

One more error in article. Its equipped with a six speed transmission not seven speed....
