lol awesome, I used to own a Cougar. They didn't get rid of all the Cougar emblems on the interior :P

I'll give the guy credit for actually pulling off a replica that looks almost dead on, now to any true R8 fan, like myself, will be able to spot a fake a mile away. but I dare say that is could actually pass for a base car for the "cheaper" audi that will replace the TT, I think the current prototype is called the r10, could be wrong though. But as for the lawsuit, thats a bit extreme. The builer does say that it's replica. I remove the audi logo though.

Eww, my dad has a Cougar, but that kind of cash for this weird bodykit is a waste.

lol i think its brilliant. as most people who buy supercars just buy them for their looks and never go past 60. i think reps are good ideas.

do you even know what you are saying? thats like saying a computer is just as good as a cardboard box

uhhh no. if you were actualy paying much attension to anything i said or to the world around you you will notice not even half of lambo's sold end up on the track. they are just to be admired and for looks. so just having the looks for half or even quarter of the price is good to me. and no it is not like having a carboard box. it is still another good car underneath. its simply like giving your old ugly GF a new sexy ballgown

Brilliantly executed waste of time!
Saw an Infiniti G Coupe recently in my city with just a big black shark fin painted behind the door to look like the carbon-fiber insert on an R8. Much cheaper way to make your car trashy!

This car would be great for an action movie where they need to damage/destroy a expensive car like a R8. CGI doesn't always look real.

He he he he oh my word - once the Chinese get a whif of this they will flood the markets with 'L8's. Instead of 4 rings the cars will have 4 intersecting Zeros (0000) as opposed to (oooo). Gents the R8 now looks like an R8. Go to china and you'll find millions of these L8's like the X5 spoof. He he he he oh my word! a great car in it's own way has had it's value checked, and exposed to a fall from grace. Holly pol itreally does look like an R8.
Now every other car is getting LED's i saw this coming - modern knight riders.

Actually I'm not a fan about copying anything, but for the problem, that the Cougar is a completely different car (e.g. frontengine) it is made very well.
It looks like a R8 when you see it for one secound, but you surely see the wrong proportions.
The effect is superwell. good job!

it looks just like the R8, but he's a fool for calling ReplicaR8 and putting audi badges on. There are loads of kit car ferraris and lamborghinis around, they just dont actualy have the badge or the name....
I suggest Aodi P8 as a name

This just proves that the R8 is not all that difficult to make. This guy has made it in his backyard, now imagine what the Chinee will do with it. They'll make it in their sleep. he hehe he

You do know that it's not really an R8 but just some well-executed bodywork, right? ;)

This is extremely distasteful and I hope this guy gets hit with a lawsuit, especially if he plans on selling these monstrosities. This is to you panamera, what you propose is all filler no killer. While it is said that impersonation is the greatest form of flattery, this 'gesture' is psycophantic. This is arbitrage at its lowest levels, insulting both intellectual property laws as well as the brilliance, effort, and passion at the Audi design house.
