JE Design is known mostly as a VW and SEAT tuner. But here they give the Porsche Cayenne a go and this is the lux-tuner level achieved with this makeover.
The tuning package is wheels, optics and suspension with no engine work in the mix. But the package does lend to superior performance with the front and rear skirts providing a better aerodynamic flow and the lowered suspension a more nimble handling.
There is actually a lowering of the chassis by about 3.5 cm and, hence, the center of gravity, to make for a more balanced ride. A further suspension mechanism, a "stainless steel coilover kit", permits a drop range of 3 to 7 cm as well.
New LED daylight running lights are added too. And the 22-inch rims for the 295/30 R22 XL tire size help give the Cayenne that road-muncher look it was made for. The single-piece cast wheels come in a variety of dark, moody colors.
No pricing details available but you can bet those 22-inch rims come in at the price of a solid used car.
Press Release (Click to expand)
- Widely extended programme for the Porsche Cayenne
- Extensive aerodynamics kit in OEM-quality
- Exclusive 22-inch light alloy rims
- More safety with LED daylight running lights
The tuning forgery JE DESIGN has been known as one of the leading refiners for the brand Seat. Gradually, the programme has been extended for large SUV from the Volkswagen group. And therefore, it is only logical that they now also developed an extensive programme for the Porsche Cayenne GTS, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S.
The JE DESIGN styling programme for the current Porsche Cayenne models includes a front- and rear skirt extension made of ABS, a material known from the original equipment manufacturer. By fitting it to the original attachment points, the makeover is accomplished in a quick and safe way. Thereby, not only the regulations for the pedestrian protection have been taken into account, but also aerodynamic requirements. The integrated LED daylight running lights are offered in the JE DESIGN makeover kit for Porsche Cayenne for the first time and ensure even more safety. The makeover programme for the Porsche Cayenne is completed with elegant side skirts which can be optionally ordered with LED lights in the door sill protectors. The rear appearance is dominated by oval shaped double end pipes made of stainless steel.
Stately 22-inch wheels “SUV-Select“
The brawny look of the Cayenne refined by JE DESIGN is enhanced by wheels of the category JE DESIGN SUV select. This wheel which has been especially developed for automobile heavy-weights, has a massive, timelessly elegant five spoke design. It is offered by JE DESIGN for the Porsche Cayenne in the impressive size 10x22“ ET 55 (bolt circle 5x130). JE DESIGN delivers the one-piece cast wheel in the version “shadow silver / polished front“, in “matt black / polished front”, in “graphite silver glossy / polished horn“ and in “graphite matt silver / polished horn“. Of course, JE DESIGN also delivers entire wheel-sets in which the SUV Select wheel is equipped with tyres measuring 295/30 R22 XL.
Lowering for more agility
And JE DESIGN does not stop at the outer appearance. In order to make the heavy car more agile, the tuning specialist is lowering the body and therefore the centre of gravity of the Porsche Cayenne with the help of an electronic lowering module by approx. 35 mm. JE DESIGN also knows how to tune conventional running gears. Then, a stainless steel coilover kit with an integrated rebound range renders lowering scale of 30 to 70 mm and a sportive road performance which matches the outer look. Alternatively, JE DESIGN offers a set of lowering springs, here.
