Afzal Kahn is a busy guy. He's CEO of Kahn Design and head of Project Kahn, which brings us this Audi R8. He's also working on Kahn Pizza delivery, which promises to deliver your pizza in a supercar over 200,000 dollars in value or your money back.

Anyway, Project Kahn does the Audi R8. Kahn lowers the suspension and slaps on 20" F1-X rims made of lightweight carbon fiber. There are no more details than that, just the pic.

Project Kahn says on its website that, "You do not need to worry about the engine," referring to Audi's 4.2 liter FSI, 414 hp (309 kW) V8. Which we can interpret to mean that there won't be any engine tuning to this Kahn creation.

But maybe Kahn has a point. Sometimes tuning squeezes too much out of an engine and takes away its suppleness and character. A 3.77kg/hp ratio is very respectable territory for a supercar and, to paraphrase the late Paul Newman, avid race driver, its the driver that makes the car.

Anyone else thinks this looks like a R8, or is it just me?

LOL. By the way aren't these the same wheels they put on their 599GTB Fiorano??

Seriously? What's next? Put the same alloys on a box of cereal and call it a Project Kahn cereal? Gimme a break.

Those rims-big and ugly.

Lame attempt at "modifying" the R8, does look good though.

So the Project Kahn R8 is just an Audi with the same style of wheels on that they put on everything from 2CVs to busses? Big deal.

is everyone mad?? why is everyone hating on khan so much... these rims are probably the cleanest rims made for this car by any after market tuner. i havent seen a better rim choice for this car.

Umm hello.. these are the same wheels as on the Foriano. and another thing.. it's the 'R8 by Project Khan' not Project Khan R8.

these wheels would make just about any car look gorgeous. Big Ups to Khan though, he's doing big things

Why isn't anyone remarking on the fact the wheels are carbon fiber? I believe the rim of the Koenigsegg CCX's optional wheels are carbon, but an entire wheel? Madness! While I don't care for most of what Kahn Design does, I would like to know more about these wheels. (Grossly oversized as they are.)

looks great with this wheels but a little over sized. I like Kahn wheels they look nice in almost all the cars they fit there rims on. but i like the one fitted on the R R sport more ^^

I hope he didn't make the same mistake as on the 599 and put 2 different sizes on. On the 599 its more the looks that dont match with the different sizing between front and back, but on the R8 it would destroy the car on your first day as it would mess up the Quattro AWD system making it think you are always slipping.

Does kahn only make one style of rim?...Every Project Kahn car is just stock with oversized predictable kahn wheels...boring.

It is an R8! I recognized this at once.

The R8 is not what you would call a "clean" design. It's supposed to look complex and over-engineered and manages to do it quite nicely. On the other hand Kahn seems to have missed this completely and decided to add a couple of 21" cooking pots as rims. I know contrast is a part of art, but this is not contrast, it's kietch!

I would disagree. The R8 has a relatively clean design if you compare it to a Ferrai 599, McLaren SLR or a BMW 6 series. The lines are clean and there are no suddenly obtrusive or awkward shapes. I like this mod, but that's just my opinion. Ideally, I would just go with the stock though.

The R8 but (rear end) is alien - it's kak! mate. It does not match up to it's front.
