YUK It looks like an ugly Pir faced Cat - even worse looking than those fish mouth audi's. Look how out of proportion the rear end is to accomodate the top. They should learn from the 3 Series and 1 Series Convertible.

I mean, if the GS was ugly, this is how it would look, WCF edit button....

Doesnt look very proportioned now does it. Oversized bum is sticking up. Huge reverse mirrors and bug eyed Lexus front. Poor rendering

Now, that's a ugly car. Merc, are you in a competition with BMW to make the ugliest car in the world?

Well I would of like to see an E class coupe and Cab with soft hat.
And a seperate model named CLK thats a coupe/cab hard hat.
I am interested in a soft top cab and if Mercedes decides to build a only a hard top then I will take my custom elsewhere maybe an AUDI or God help me a BMW of perhaps look at a Bentley.

its a rendering. get over it. pretty sure the actual car is gonna look nothing like this

Yeah, this is either a terrible rendering, or an accurate rendering of what will be a terrible-looking car. Why on earth have they notched it up to the E-class segment. Now they have NOTHING to take on the 3-series coupe/A5, whose segment is easily more profitable than this. Merc's logic baffles me sometimes. First an ugly, butt-less C-class based on the previous gen platform (have they sold a single CLC?) and now this!?

The CLK never really did tackle the 3 series coupe/convertible for being to much but not enough to be with the 6 series. This car will be more the likes to run with the 6, sc430, A5 and Jaguar XK, large 4 place convertibles. Ive read the CLC will be redone to run along with the 3 series, is, and Infiniti convertibles.

If the E-Class coupe is based on a C-Class platform, doesn't that mean the E-Class sedan and estate will also be based on the C-Class? If that were the case, what would be the point of having both a C-Class and a E-Class? Sounds a bit dodgy to me...

I REALLY dnt like the idea of this being a hardtop convertible after seeing ths c70 and 328i tops...
