the Leon was a nice and sporty car right from the start. Audi ownership has done wonders with this brand - like with Lambo.. it's only too bad it's FWD

VW has the ownership, not Audi. VW even has the ownership of Audi ;)

@ evo82 Funny you say that, with your name you should know about the size of a wing...

SEAT seems to be churning out some fantastic cars at the moment - it's just a pity it's sales are choked by Volkswagen and Skoda, two of my favourite car brands. There are up to 3 different Volkswagen AG cars competing in the same segment. Say if Porsche left VW AG alone, bought SEAT from VW and Saab from GM, Porsche could have a three pronged attack on the car market. SEAT at the budget passenger car part of the segment against Toyota, Honda, VW and Mazda, whilst Saab could be in the premium passenger car segment against Volvo, jaquar, Lexus, M-B, BMW, Audi etc. , whilst Porsche handles the sports car segment, and palms off the 4x4 responsibility to Saab and SEAT. Just a thought, but it could work with Porsches chassis and handling expertise (something Saab definitely needs) and profitable/viable management (something SEAT could benefit from, eg. no more Altea XLs.)

The problem is, without VW, Seat is nothing and without GM, Saab is nothing. Their whole technology is based on other VW/GM models and there is nothing special only reserved for Seat/Saab. So you would only have the badge, but nothing more.
