German tuning firm JMS has taken a more discreet approach with their Audi A5 tuning kit compared to their recent Audi A3 Sportback. The new Audi coupe starts with the JMS Racelook body kit which includes a front bumper lip spoiler (Euro 269) which sits only 3cm closer to the ground, side skirts (299 Euro) and rear apron (Euro 259) with diffuser look that is a perfect fit with the standard bumper fascia. For the S5 look JMS has also created a stainless steel exhaust system with 4 oval tips which JMS says provides a little more horsepower and torque. JMS is planning to make available the same Racelook kit for all S5 and S-line models.

For the chassis JMS has added H&R lowering springs (EUR 239) which drop the front end by 40mm and the rear by 35mm. The springs are compatible with the standard Audi shock absorbers. In the footwear department JMS has fitted 3-piece racing wheels 9.5x20 and 10x20 with 255/30R20 Dunlop tires (Euro 5699).

Firstly, love the car and the kit aint so bad, one problem though, if the front spoiler is only 3cm from the ground, you better hope the street your driving on is level and forget about going over speed humps, cause even goping over them at an angle your still going to rip the spoiler and bumper off it's hinges.

It is 3cm closer to the ground than stock; not 3cm from the ground. The wording in the article isn't very clear.

So the total is 6765 EURO, then add little more money and buy the more beautiful S5 with more powerful engine in it' stamach. But still these JMS is nice also.

by the way, let me make a confession: i hate tuning.

i'm sorry, i know i should like it, being a car enthusiast and all... but i always find it so... tacky.

if you want a better car, sell yours and get yourself a new one!

it's okay to get bigger wheels or some cool entertainment gadgets... though good cars already come with big enough wheels and nice audio systems.

i mean, i recognize the customization as a trend and i respect those who make it, in their very own way, some sort of art. but for my ride, standard kit is usually enough.

This tuning is very subtle and beautiful. Not over done like all the other ones. Real head tuner. No doubt GPKH will think otherwise.

the skirts look crap! the diffuser looks nice, and the front bar is probably a 7/10... wheels = shite! im sick of wheels like these on A/S5's and A/S/RS4's... make me sick! hmm so overall i reckon in my lowly opinion this is about a 6.5/10... ide rather have an MTM S5!

Tuning stinks in general but can't ruin Audi hence Audi is immune.
