Toyota are showcasing a new concept in sports interior design and a progression of exterior styling with the presentation of their V6 RAV4 Performance Sport Concept at SEMA 2008. Indescribable as anything but striking over any production RAV4, the V6 Performance Sport Concept takes modification to the next level.

The 'bold' new styling is somewhat more than just touches, with a customised 'performance' design hood and front-end with flared side fenders and 22-inch forged 'Satin silver / Gunmetal' beasts for alloys. The body kit extends to the rear in the form of a modified rear fascia, while a custom exhaust is also featured.

Inside, and an exclusive Reyes Upholstery interior brings the starkness of the exterior inside, all the while maintaining the comfort and flexibility of its platform. The glass roof allows for natural light while the seating configuration is modified for greater practicality. Technical upgrades in the cabin are primarily those for the entertainment system, with two 80W Alpine speakers, 300W subwoofer, amplifier, two 7-inch WVGA headrest-mounted monitors and navigation among the new in-car technology fitted.

The front looks like a Pontiac (or some other car brand from the States?) with Saab headlights. All the SUV characteristics have been stripped away, too.

God, that's horrid. I've seen better DIY jobs at my college.

Why must the front look good, while the rear is just fugly?
