This is the first proper concept car in the whole SEMA show. All the others have been riced-out family cars or huge and ugly gas guzzlers.

That's because VW sees the big picture, who cares about a Challenger with a viper engine, or a handfull of riced out Camaros, or a F150 rally truck. This car would actually make a great production model and worth the investment they made, and i must admit this car is quite a looker, wouldn't mind buying one.

For such a "proper" concept car, they should try a bit harder and provide the media with real exterior shots, not low-quality Photoshops...

sadly, the production model will surely not be as good looking as this. the style it probably foreshows a performance version of the Passat CC.. I hope. because it really looks crunchy.. well, except maybe that rear bumper. the design itself is good, but it's proportion is exagerated. but in the end, you know what ? I really think that VW has started to make more good looking cars than BMW.. and that's something ! (please, if one of you BMW guys reads this thread see the situation as desperate.. und wir können dies auf Deutsch beseitigen auch)

Kit or no kit, the CC is such a beautiful car, especially in person. This is the only VW I would really want to drive around. More sporty and daring than the CLS. Too bad it's a FWD.

8/10. -1 for FWD and -1 for the rims and interior

A nice looking car indeed. Where it says that is no AWD? It doesn't say anything about that and about transmission (automatic or manual). It could be something like Audi TT-S 2.0 TFSI 272 hp: AWD and automatic transmission. If that is a FWD version, it is likely that VW chose such a version in order to get lower fuel consumption figures.

Yes it definitely looks much better than the CLS. Excellent work, Volkswagen. Excellent work. Definitely the People's Car. Now, let's see this become a reality or a factory option in the coming year.

just wish it had a different name. a passat is what my grandpa drives, not me.
