8 litre engines with giant bodywork. I think you should have to prove that such a car is essential for your work before you can buy it... for personal use this is disgusting.

Goes to show the bias on this website. The damn thing is ugly, and frankly an 8.1L 6-cylinder is rather ghastly, where the V8 diesels are displacing around 6.0-6.6L. And I like the lack of power/torque figures on this engine. The Chevy/GMC and even the new Ford Super Duty looks much better than this, and they're all much better finished trucks than the Tundra in mainstream guise. Not to mention, this thing is ridiculously HUGE.

Not much bigger than an F350 quad cab dulie. But that engine is somewhat weak, 220hp and 520lbft. I mean BMW gets more than that out of a 3.5L V6 TDI.....

BMW doesn't make diesels. TDI is a registered trademark of the vw group. And I don't even think they make a 3.5 liter v6.

Yes, BMW make diesels - an I-4 displacing 2.0L, and 2 in-line six cylinder engines displacing 3.0L each (one has a single-stage turbo, the other has a two-stage, bi-turbo). No v-6 engines.

Ah yes, the American fascination with Toyotas which contributes to making Toyota Motor Corp the size it is now...

Does it have an option where i can delete all the Toyota parts (like the body for example)and replace them with Hino truck bits?

I really don't care what you all say, I have a tundra double cab and want a diesel and by seeing this truck, Ive fallen in love...Theres something always better out there, but Im a toyota person and I have been very pleased with the type of products me and my family have gotten. I would buy this diesel over any other any day!!!! If this truck is sold, I promise I'll be the first in line to buy it. The heck with ford, chevy, bmw (what one of ya'll clam), or any other people. You come down to the south or in Texas and it's trully all about trucks, we use for everyday use where I live. True toyota and tundra fans will buy this!!!!
