Toyota present their new FJ Cruiser Special Edition - a new addition to the range based largely off its limited edition predecessor, the Trail Teams Edition model. Toyota kicked off sales of their limited-run FJ Cruiser Trail Teams Edition in January and ran production until April, shifting some 3,200 examples.
Much like the 2008 version, the 2009 model year Special Edition model is available exclusively in a SandStorm Metallic white paintjob and imposing black painted mirrors, handles, bumpers and rock rails, while a range of further styling and technical upgrades are packaged.
Among them are 16-inch TRD 'bead-lock' alloy wheels, Bilstein shock absorbers and exclusive trail team badging. Inside and a range of upgrades are also included, principally the Convenience Package - which adds among other upgrades cruise control and keyless entry - leather steering wheel with audio control, beige fabric inserts and a 6CD with MP3 connection stereo system.
See the press release for all of the Special Edition's additions.
