There are cars, sports cars, supercars and then comes...what? Well, then comes this 599 GTB Fiorano by tuner Novitec Rosso who make this Ferrari's numbers look a lot like the Italian carmaker's F1 car.

We have 808 ph, 823 Nm of cranking capacity and a top speed of more than 340 km/h. Track times are 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, 0-200km/h in 9.7 and 0-300km/h in 25.5 seconds. If you're giving out numbers on your 0-300km/h time, you have confidence in what you're putting out there on the street.

The Novitec Rosso's Bi-Kompressor V12 adds 188 hp and 215 Nm of torque from the 'factory' 599 GTB (factory must come in quotes since Ferrari builds its cars by hand, not by assembly line). The price for this newly tuned engine is 46,900 euros, which comes to about 250 euros for each additional horse.

Novitec Rosso is a tuner with top engineering capabilities. This tuning work includes aerodynamic improvements and the largest street-legal brake parts with steel discs and six-piston brake calipers. The press release provides all the nitty details.

Further pricing quotes were not released but you can expect them to be astronomical for this is as exotic as tuning gets.

New from NOVITEC ROSSO:

Bi-Kompressor V12 Engine with 808 hp / 594 kW and 823 Nm for the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano

A maximum rated power output of 808 hp / 594 kW, a peak torque of 823 Nm and a top speed of more than 340 km/h, all the result of a high-tech twin compressor conversion: NOVITEC ROSSO endows the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano with even more superlatives through professional tuning. The tuning is accompanied by an aerodynamic-enhancement kit developed in the wind tunnel, three-piece 21-inch wheels with correspondingly calibrated sports suspension, a high-performance brake system, and exclusive interior options.

As for the Ferrari F430, NOVITEC ROSSO relies on mechanically supercharging the six-liter four-valve V12 engine of the F599 with two compressors for boosting performance. The cogged-belt driven high-performance superchargers produce a maximum boost pressure of 0.39 bars, and are a lubricated by their own dedicated oil circulation. The pre-compressed air is then cooled down to a level conducive for added power by a large intercooler that itself is cooled by a dedicated water cycle. A specially designed intake manifold with high-performance injectors and sport air filter round out the conversion on the intake side.

In addition, NOVITEC ROSSO installs custom exhaust manifolds calibrated to the twin compressors, and the NOVITEC ROSSO stainless-steel quad sport exhaust system with a tailpipe diameter of 90 millimeters. The exhaust note can be adjusted using the ‘manettino' switch on the steering wheel from 'sporty yet discrete' to ‘definitely sounds like racing.'

The NOVITEC ROSSO engine management coordinates the perfect interaction of all conversion components. It not only ensures maximum power yield but also exemplary smooth running and maximum longevity.

Compared to the production engine the NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Kompressor V12 gains 188 hp / 138.4 kW for a new maximum of 808 hp / 594 kW at 7,800 rpm. At the same time peak torque grows by 215 Nm to a new peak of 823 Nm at 6,300 rpm.

In combination with the F1-Superfast transmission, whose six speeds are even faster and more precise to select thanks to longer NOVITEC ROSSO carbon shift paddles, the tuned F599 delivers performance on the highest super sports car level: The sprint from rest to 100 km/h takes just 3.5 seconds. 200 km/h are reached after just 9.7 seconds. And a sprint time of 25.5 seconds from 0 - 300 km/h places the tuned two-seater firmly among the fastest accelerating sports cars in the world. Top speed is more than 340 km/h. The NOVITEC ROSSO Bi-Kompressor engine conversion is available for 46,900 Euros.

Such performance places extreme demands on perfectly balanced aerodynamics. The NOVITEC ROSSO designers went into the wind tunnel to develop aerodynamic-enhancement components that add some visual pizzazz to the 599 and make it more aerodynamically efficient. The front spoiler lip is attached to the production bumper and reduces lift on the front axle. Its aerodynamic counterpart in the rear is the rear diffuser that can optionally be combined with a rear spoiler.

The NOVITEC ROSSO rocker panels calm the airflow between the wheel houses and with their large air inlets optimize the supply of cooling air to the rear brakes.

All NOVITEC ROSSO aerodynamic-enhancement components are also available in a clear-coat carbon-fiber version. The exterior can be further refined with black side markers and black taillights as well as with LED auxiliary brake light and reversing light.

The extensive high-performance package for the 599 also includes custom-tailored NOVITEC ROSSO NF3 light-alloy wheels with high-performance tires from PIRELLI. The tree-piece wheels with five double spokes measure one inch more in diameter than the stock wheels. The front axle is fitted with size 9Jx20 rims and size 275/30 ZR 20 tires. The rear wheels in size 12.5Jx21 with size 355/25 ZR 21 tires provide maximum traction.

These king-size wheels offers space for the high-performance brake system developed in cooperation with Brembo. The brake uses the largest components currently legal for street use. The front and rear features steel discs with diameters of 405 millimeters and six-piston brake calipers. Together they offer an optimal combination of maximum stopping power and endurance.

Bound and rebound of the height-adjustable NOVITEC ROSSO sport suspension can be adjusted to each 599 owner's individual preferences. In addition the suspension also offers a highly useful lift feature that is activated by pushing a button in the cockpit. The front of the car can be raised by 40 millimeters to navigate safely past obstacles such as parking ramps or speed bumps without scraping the front apron. The suspension automatically reverts to its original position once the car reaches a speed of 80 km/h.

NOVITEC ROSSO offers the ultimate refinements for the interior of the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. The list of options ranges from a leather/carbon-fiber sport steering wheel with flattened bottom for easier entering and exiting, to aluminum foot pedals, to a completely new interior in any color and material combination imaginable.

sooooo the GTR gets to 100 in 3.5 seconds maybe less.... why can't this do it in.... 3.0 flat??? WITH all that power?? like double the power of the GTR? lol... not trying to be a GTR fanatic but seriously :P i'd still buy this over a GTR.... however... if i had the money to buy this car clearly i'd buy a GTR as well... ohhhhhhh :)!!! i want money :'(

LOL, we all do,and we never have enough, anyway GT-R was designed to beat the competition, ferrari was designed just to be a ferrari and nothing more, and the days when a ferrari was the fastest thing around are so gone

The GT-R has all-wheel-drive, which, I'm fairly certain, significantly aids traction off the line. It is a good point, though; you would think with the F1 SuperFast 'box in this 599 it'd be capable of a 0-100 km/h time of 3.0s, but the reality is there are so many other factors to consider. The 599 creates significantly more drag with its CoD of 0.34 versus the GT-R's 0.27, for instance, and power delivery over the RPM range is another possibility. Safe to say the 599 is an infinitely more desirable car than the GT-R, and the two, while similar in performance figures, are apples and oranges to us true autophiles for so many different reasons. I also want money.

0-100 means nothing any more, but if you MUST, think about this: 300 more hp may not give it any time in the 0-100, but it buys you 3 seconds on the 0-200 and at least 5 on the 0-300. also, drive these things along an autobahn at 130 side by side. floor it, and the nissan won't stand a chance.

Its a sweet looking car, but cant be compared to the gt-r , the 599 has a v12 and 808hp where the gt-r has a v6 480hp, as much as i like this car i would have the gt-r or the v-spec for less price and faster and safer to my country's road terrain.

WOW these people that talk about 0-60 times should be banned , this is not no f**king honda civic! 0-60 means nothing for these strong cars , enzo 0-60 is 3.4 so what ??? gtr is almost as fast ? ya'll make no sence , ofcourse i love the GTR but you cannot compare a gtr to a 599 especially with 800 hp, a stock 599 will demolish the GTR , better look at 0-200 km/h this ferrari is 9.7 sec while gtr is 11.8 , now thats a difference to look at , you can't compare a nissan to a ferrari , even though as i already said i do love gtr

Right, we should be banned. How about you develop your arguments a bit, hm? Then maybe you may start expressing your opinion. 0-60 is still an important figure; likewise, in terms of performance, the GT-R is comparable to many Italian supercars. In every other area no question there is no competition, but strictly looking at performance figures, comparisons can be made.

Let's not compare a Nissan to a Ferrari. The GT-R is a fast, electronically controlled Japanese rocket. A Ferrari, ANY Ferrari, is a Ferrari. Check out:

http://www.dpccars.com/car-videos-08/11-03-08page-Drag-Race-Corvette-ZR1-vs-Nissan-GTR-vs-Ferrari-599-vs-Porsche-GT2.htm

That's to cockblock all you GT-R fanboys. The ZR-1 smoked both. But again, a Ferrari is a Ferrari. You'll be buying passion, performance and class with a Ferrari. Hence the price tag. This Novitec Ferrari is the Ferrari that makes Ferrari owners drool. It's a step above. I can take an Caterham 7 faster than a GT-R for a lot less money, doesn't mean I'm gonna compare a car in a totally different league.

personally, i'd prefer a gtr to the ferrari since it's more 'everyday' usable where as somebody already said, the ferrari is a weekend car.

sure they could've drawn more power out of the 599's v12 but once again, days have long gone where ferrari's are the fastest things in the world.

As jeremy clarkson once said on an episode of top gear. you don't buy these kind of supercars cars with your head. You don't even buy them for their performance anymore. You buy them with your heart because you love them.

well, i'm not gonna compare the novitec with the gtr.... however the performance is not i've thought - an slr mclaren does these numbers with a 700hp. i don't know what's the problem. and the novitec f430 with 700hp didn't quite do astonishing numbers. for example, the ruf ctr 3 with 700hp goes 235mph and has a 0-60 time in 3 secs.

i never really got it - IS the 599 an slr competitor or not?

You guys forget that 0-60 is all about gearing and torque, not really HP. This thing may have 808hp but probably has less torque than a GT-R, that's also why the SLR is faster, it has a mountain of torque to move it off the line. I wouldnt be surprised if this gets only an extra 50ftlb of torque because the superchargers rob it of some of it's original torque. Anyways, this is a 599 GTB and well the nissan is a nissan, as great as it is it will never touch this car, the same way that a porsche fan will not trade in his 911 turbo for a GT-R or a nissan fan won't trade in their GT-R for a ZR-1. And on another note the GT-Rs Nurburing record wont stay for long, the F70 is coming out, Murcielago Replacement, and the Zonda R, also who knows what mercedes and audi will come out with next.

Yeah, and the GT-R vspec , the new NSX and Mazda RX7 and many more toys like this will be there to make the show compete and give some tech lessons.

lucifa
November 5, 2008 1:19 PM
to be honest... i can see the three italians wiping the floor with everything else - probably f70 first, then zonda r and then the lambo. the japanese are picking off decade old cars - when the new models come out i don't think, for all it's a superb car, the gt-r will stand a chance

dolcegabbana
November 4, 2008 5:06 PM
0-60 GTR might beat it,slr might beat it , but then after 60 this 599 will blow them away , 0-122 9.7 sec you're F*** joking , slr is very fast but even the fast 722 does it in 10.4 , and gtr in about 12 sec that's what to look at if you're talking about DRAG RACING , if you had one of these you wouldn't race 0-60 because it would take you 3 sec there , you wont even notice , it's 808 HP ya'll just so stupid for judging by 0-60 , o BTW sl65 amg 0-60 in 4.2 and it will blow the doors off it after 60 , and gt2 , and lp560 , and many many more

The GT-R is great, NSX should be good too, RX7 i know nothing of. But lets face it the GT-R wasn't much faster than the Zonda, which is 9 years old, the enzo is 4 and hell the Murcielago seems like its from the 90s. Ferrari made their 430 Scuderia as fast as the enzo, that means that the new F70 will be retardedly fast, after all ferrari has learned some new tricks in the past 4 years. Same with lambo, same with pagani, they will eat up the V-Spec and the NSX.

Crap i take that back the enzo is 10 years old since they first started muleing it....Same with the Murcielago...holly cow time flies by fast.
