This is much better than the first generation fusion. Though I'm still not likeing Ford trademark with the thick bars as the grill. But still it's an improvement

Riddle me this... why is Ford not using the new "Kenetic" styling as they said they would be doing from now on? These thick bars NEED TO GO! Ugly as all hell and certainly detracts attention to the car, no matter what other great features it has.

Not bad, u can ignore the mach 3(the razor blade) grill if the hybrid system will be efficient, overall a good car.

it's not that bad, the kinetic design influence can be spotted a little bit, however i do not really like those chrome bars as well, and it's still nowhere near the Mondeo...

Not that the current generation is a bad looking car, but this one is a great improvement and looks much better. I am surprised so many people dislike the 3-bar grill, it is a little big on this design but I still think it looks good.

front definitely looks sportier. i see a lot of cues from ford europe here. will obviously need to see more views before i can give my views. touche.

i know the car drives great, but why can Mazda bring out the new 626 and Ford soldiers on a dated car.
The facelift is no where near as good as the dated Fusion's is.
This looks like a 1999 Grand Am GT.

It's the Super Duty Snooty! Please, car designers of the world. Enough with the cartoonish giant grilles. Especially when you slather them in chrome. This might outdo the new Acura TL for a car being eaten by its own face.
Note to Ford: Why do you think Americans won't buy tastefully stylish cars like your own exceptionally attractive Mondeo and Euro-Focus? Do you think anyone rejected the current Fusion because the grille wasn't glitzy enough?

idk... i am kind of feeling the new grill... just wish the last bar wasnt that big. i was looking at an Edge the other day... and idk its making the 3 bar grill grow on me. just needs a big more i think. i just hope...really really hope, that the tail lights dont have that One Bulb do all the work kind of thing like the current Fusion. Am i the only one thats pissed off by that?

No, you're not alone. Red turn signals using the same bulb as the brake lamp has to be the lamest cost-saving measure in the industry. VW Beetles in the 60s had separate brake and turn bulbs, and amber is required everywhere else in the world. Seems like common sense: a separate, different color bulb makes it instantly obvious it's a turn signal. That would seem safer.
Anyone notice that Chrysler has been removing the rear turn signal bulbs on most of their models and just using the remaining one red lamp? (Nitro, Liberty, Caliber, Ram truck and Grand Cherokee are all down to one bulb.) Hope the $2 cost-down saves the company...
Now someone please explain why all the German brands are using red turn signals in US models now, even under white lenses? Audi even does the one bulb thing. I thought they knew better, and I can't imagine US comsumers demand this. I actually won't buy a car with red turn signals.

not a fan looks too fussy seems like it doesnt know what its trying to be, its like the styled it took the last gen mondeo and made it look sportier and then went, oh its for the states, shit.....i know well just put this massive chrome grille on it because americans like massive chrome grilles, but it just doesnt flow

leave design to ford EU

So they made the Fusion look even MORE like an Accord. Except for the UGLY grill which they made even more pronounced. What a waste. Glad I bought some else.

Isn't the Mach 3 chrome blades on the front end a safety hazard? If one were following me, wouldn't it cause a major glare from the grill into my rear view mirror?

Machida: I am on the other side and I actually won't buy a car with the amber turn signals. I hate others having them as some of them is too bright at night what disturbs me so much. I have even seen a couple times that a clear white bulb was used under white lenses which is ridiculous.
