The covert agents at Autospies.com have been known to use the term “exclusive” a bit gratuitously but this time they mean it. Agent Lee, an Autospies correspondent in Japan has uncovered what appears to be a brochure of the new RX.

Making its debut in Los Angeles next month the new RX receives its design inspiration from the recent LF-Xh Concept. Although the same overall body shape is retained, the RX gets larger dimensions giving it 7 seat capacity.

At launch the engine line-up which includes the 3.5-liter V6 will stay largely unchanged but further down the line we should see the introduction of a 400 horsepower powerplant. Production for the new model will commence in late December before going on sales early in 2009 as a 2010 model.

this wont worry Infiniti's FX in the slightest in terms of design and style.

ughh... I just hate these car manufacturers selling cars made in 2008 naming them "2010 model".

Otherwise it's a pretty good car. I would like to see RX350h though. You know the average Joe who wants to do his bit to save the planet, a 4.5litre-engined car is a bit of a stretch...

and the catalogue is kinda dumb. It shows 2 pictures, they're basically identical apart from the colour and the wheels. So labelling them is basically pointless.

What I also find redundant is the fact that Japanese car catalogues ALWAYS use English translated words (katagana)... URGHH!!! Like the front grille is furontoguriru.. wtf. I'm sure there's Japanese words for them...

i don't think there's a specific word for it since car parts aren't precisely bound to japanese tradition.. other than that, i'm sure the interior design is much more appealing than this heavy-looking monolith on wheels.. asif is right about infiniti's FX superiority in terms of style and "personality"

It won't be a 4.5L engine. They do that number based on the combined power of the gas (V6) and electric motor, and they compare it to a purely gas engine. Just like the LS600Lh, it's not a 6.0, but a 5.0+electric motor, which makes power that's supposed to rival a ~6.0L V12.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. A little too much WRX, and not enough LS (style) for me.

Reminds me of the GM Aztec disaster (and I usually like Lexus Cars) Wonder if a tent attatchment can be optioned for the rear of this one... Keep the current model - This is awful.

Um... Ok, I think I might like it better than the curent one... It looks a bit like a station wagon, mainly the WRX in the back, I like it alrightin the front...
