These most recent spy shots of the upcoming Suzuki Kizashi are some of the best seen so far. They provide a pretty good view of the car and you can get an idea of what its final design will be as it gets closer to production. The accompanying photos were taken earlier this week while the Kizashi was undergoing testing in Germany under very light camouflage.

The Kizashi will be Suzuki's first mid-size sedan as the compact carmaker moves its brand upmarket and introduces products into the middle segment of the passenger car market. The mid-size segment is one of the most fiercely competitive in the US market and the Kizashi will go up against best-selling models such as the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and the Chevy Malibu.

The sedan will come with a 2.5 liter/150 hp 4 cylinder engine and a meatier 3.6 liter V6 with about 300 hp coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Suzuki has announced it will also later produce a wagon and CUV version of the Kizashi. The Kizashi will be built in Sagara, Japan, and will be launched in the US in early 2010.

Superbly stupid. Even the styling is superbly boring compared to its rivals.

Oh wait, it's only being sold in the US. Not much competition there anyway. Good luck Suzuki!

Do you not think Suzuki is already well enough represented in small cars with the Splash, Swift and SX4?

i think they just taken things from other cars, but at least they took the good bits not like they used to do in the 80's, for example the back end is stright from the new Citroen C5 and the fornt is a mix between toyota avensis and Audi but the side profile theres nothing there, good first try suzuki but mayby just need to alter the styling a tad
