2010 Chevrolet Equinox Sheds Last Pieces of Camouflage for Spies

looks pretty good i must say. exterior design wise of course.

The rear bumper looks like it belongs on the late-model Maxima. In side and rear profiles you see an angular window geometry that seems to work, similar to the 2007 Acura TL. But the rest of the car is curvy-think Buick Rendevous. And then you have the butch orthogonal grille with feminine lights. It's a shizophrenic hermaphrodite, and waiting for a more cohesive language. The front bumper is not too-well concealed as the fender and upper bumper stretch to conceal it. I'd appreciate alittle lipo on the side doors too. And the fender flares could be incorporated into the design so the front looks different than the rear (it's a bandaid now). Overall the form serves current consumer demand with a seemingly lightweight midsize cabin on a bolstered and tall frame.

Appearance wise it's not bad, could be 2" lower with some 20" wheels, and the 306hp V6 from caddy. Should be a decent ride if it's a decent price compared to a kia Sorento.

Kia Sorento? How so? This one is an upper class than Kia. Even Captica can not be compared to Kia. Chevys both have independent rear suspension which gives them an excellent road handling with a lot of high tech manufacturing process.

I rented the previous model Equinox out in Cali. It was the scariest SUV I've ever driven. I had to jam the brakes hard when going into gradual turns on the highway due to the fact that it felt like the vehicle was going to flip. I felt very unsteady in the fastlane. Hopefully they've addressed this issue. Probably not.

Is the equinox coming to europe...... hope so coz then we can have a decent looking, cheap and intresting alternative to say a ford kuga, toyota rav4, BMW X3, Vauxhall Antara and Honda CR-V. i bet it is using the vauxhall/opel/saturn Astra platform or the new Vauxhall/opel insignia / saturn Aura platform
