24-Carat Aston Martin DB7 by Alchemist

Luxury customization company, Alchemist, thinks their Aston Martin DB7 isn't getting enough attention. So, they've decided to bath the exterior in 24-carat gold and platinum leaf. No details have been given exactly how they did it and what the total cost might be, but they went as far to add 7 diamonds embedded in the bodywork as the final touch.

Alchemist’s creative director and modern day ‘Goldfinger’, Jacques Blanc, said: “Forget the everyday optional extras offered by car manufacturers, this is the King Midas of customization and the gold standard of luxury.”

The 24-carat DB7 makes its debut at MPH The Prestige and Performance Motor Show featuring Top Gear Live at London’s Earls Court among 200 other supercars on display. Tickets are available via mphshow.co.uk/info

the slightly silver parts are plastic and therefore have been sprayed.

that is the ugliest car i've ever seen. what a waste of an Aston martin. now it looks like an old 80's car that you find for sale at your local used car lot.

anyone care that you can never wash the car or the gold will wear off? is it possible that wind can scratch it? Gorgeous car but I hate the platinum 2-tone.

I recall a saying from a film I once saw..."I Love Goooooold" Goldmember from Austin Powers. This car is suitable for a comedy and nothing more.

Ugly and pointless. People who'd buy this are the sort who would buy a Lamborghini Gallardo and never take it to the track.

Now you wouldn't wanna crash that Lambo, would you? Gallardo's are NOT track cars. The people who buy them like to show off their rides in popular areas in the city.

Jacques Blanc only made this car so he could make those two "gold" puns.

Ugly, at least the company should've have painted the whole thing one color instead of two like that.

looks like they picked up bits from a car cemetery as they could not afford original spares, and the donor car was not the same colour..... i´ve seen ford escorts in such condition looking better..... pitiful.
