Don't expect a seasons greetings card from Al Gore this year if you're cruising around in one of these. However, if you're a survivalist planning your next family picnic, then the Action Mobil Globecruiser 2008 model is for you!

Taking expedition excess to a new level, the Globecruiser is based on the MAN TGA 6x6 platform with a giant 783ci (12.8-liter) inline-six turbo diesel producing 388 kW (530hp). It's fair to say the Globecruiser 2008 does not meet the latest EURO 5 regulations but does meet EURO 3.

The Globecrusier also features 154 U.S. gallons (550 liters) of water storage, 4 x 240W solar power system which feeds the batteries and LPG tanks. heated air-suspension seats, satellite systems and posh amenities.

Weighing a svelte 21 tons (19,000 kg), the Globecruiser 2008 carries 219 U.S. gallons (860 liters) of fuel – enough to make an Icelandic banker nervous at $800 filler-ups. However the camping enthusiast that can afford the Globecruiser's price tag of €490,000 ($650,000) won't be worrying about the price of fuel.
