The next-generation Mercedes E-Class, set for a March debut at the Geneva show, has been caught with minimal camouflage during testing. The revised lines, which split the difference between the C-Class and S-Class, are evident under the tape, as is the new grille and headlight treatment. The reskin is most evident at the rear, where a faster rear windshield line and more coupelike C-pillar eliminate much of the boxy look that’s been common to E-Classes in recent years. The new styling is by no means groundbreaking, but should continue to please the large number of loyal E-Class buyers while keeping the car's looks current.
The usual wide range of engine options is expected, with V6, V8 and Bluetec diesel offerings. The new E-Class wagon has also been spotted in testing, and will likely debut some time after the sedans hit the showrooms.

If you've got a problem with a post use the Report Abuse link. Don't undermine your point by using bad language and insulting people's sexuality on posts. That makes you worse then the opinion you hold of him.
"some sour lemons love the pontiac trucks and some of us love the BMW trucks. shows the difference in class and income."-very elitist
"Looks like a JAP car."-very racist (JAP is a derogatory term for Japanese people)
"ya british leyland was farse, everyone knows that"-racist
"porsche will sell tons and will reel in the cash. the germans keep swallowing companies that are willing to sell themselves"-elitist
"is it more power then german car or just typisch american weak engine?" -racist and elitist
"the C63 benz has more power. the americans lsoe the muscle war"-immature
on an american car: "looks like a bore, drives like a bore, perfect for people who look like bores."
and there are a lot others undermining just about every single country not german. you see why i hate this fag. he's immature and ret@rded. I wasted 5 minutes of my time looking up those comments for you. now go figure
I find nothing "racist" about any of those comments either. If you can't accept criticisms of your country's cars then maybe you shouldn't even be here.
I find your homophobic insults by far worse.
You call his comments criticisms, you must be daft. Look at the context. He's racist and will do anything to bash anything American and non-German. You think thats ok..whatever you can go join him too.
American cars are actually extremely inferior to German cars mate and that's a fact. It hurts but its real.
The new E...at least it looks better than the C-class. Which, btw, the CTS is a much better overall car than the new C-class. And it's American =). It's more powerful, got a much nicer interior styling and execution, much more premium-looking exterior styling/execution, and better yet, won't be sold primarily as a taxi/parking meter car. So people who spent $40k here in the states won't wonder why, whereas the same C180's running around in Europe can either belong to some politician or business man, as well as a cab operator.
RS5, I don't get your point. Having an opinion on a car's quality and value now makes you a racist? No, it merely makes you opinionated and biased towards a brand or style of vehicle. Racism is based on Culture, skin colour and social standing towards your fellow man. You can drive a porsche and be a racist or you can even drive an American car, Dodge, Chrysler, Ford or even a Chinese POS and be a racist. Don't take it so personal man. You Yanks don't make the best cars in the world, sorry to say. And if anybody knows about racism in society it's me. I'm from South Africa. We lived it!!!
I know American cars are not the best in the world, but we have a few things I'm proud of; The CTS-V, Corvette C6, Z06, ZR1, Camaro, Challenger...these hopefully will be long standing icons of America's ability to produce better cars.
but rs5, i think we can all agree anything made by the chinese or koreans is (almost) universally a POS =P
Take the Bently continental coupe and compare it to ...what ever American car - a cadillac maybe (score 6 - 0); Audi RS8 vs the Viper (score 6 - 20 i favour of RS8), The list is endless and the result will favour the German cars. Ask your self why the rich American always procures either an Italian car or a german super car or luxury car? the answer is simple and we all know it.Trust me when i say that anywhere else in the world including your country, 8 out of every 10 people will rather take a German car over an American car, more or less the same that we credit the French in the Clothing industry.
I like the new styling. It brings it into line with the rest of the models and maintains the Mercedes look.
And why does MB keep putting the rear door handle in the middle of the door? It not only looks silly, but you can hardly open the rear door on a new C-Class without hitting yourself in the arm with the door. Is there some reason they can't engineer the handle to be nearer the edge of the door where it belongs? Goofy.
the cle looks set to be a very handsome beast
