I wonder if it will need servicing every 3500 miles like the previous generation FQ400. This car is going to cost LOADS to run. I'd still love one though!

Its priced too high though. Might as well get a GTR for a little more. Probably cheaper to run too.

Watch out for this problem with the GTR.

That guy killed his GT-Rs tranny doing launch control starts at every traffic light. Don't feel sorry for him at all. He should of read the user manual like he was told to.

are u saying that when buying the GTR... you CANT lauch the car as much as u'd like to??? are u SAYING that after a period of time, launching the car isn't "acceptable"???
man... nissans at fault there bud. they should have fit the GTR with a stronger more durable transmission.

You are never supposed to use launch control, but it is just there. If you think about it you are reving the car to 4k rpm and at one time you are smacking all of the components together. The car was made to handle well and not to be drag raced at every light. You can still get a good time if you keep it in race mode. When ever I race I never rev the engine and then put it in gear. I feel like I am killing my car. Always figure in consequences when you race no matter what you do. Check out the fifth gear video of doing the launch control on a lotus

Tell me if you will be doing that at every light.

u'll be a strong challenger for the GT-R and with less COST that is realy good

Oh my Word !!!! What a car !!! Is a bit over priced, and maintenance will cost an arm and a leg, but who cares !!!! Is the top speed limited? It should reach at least 185 MPH with that spec and weight. I'll sell my wife for one of these!! Doesn't look as mad as the GT-R though!!
October 16, 2008 10:35 am
I wish i have one here in Russia...the speeding is still not expensive here...only $200 on spot to the policeman...you can enjoy it all day long...but the pricing for the car will be around $120K...not less

OMG!! This is AWESOME news! A rival to the GTR. For the power they both give, they offer great value, but their maintaining will soon add up.

PLEASE TELL ME THIS CAR IS COMING TO THE STATES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would spend the money for this, hands down. Failing markets be damned!!

it's a "top of the range" single turbocharged 2litre EVO and why are you guys comparing it to a normal twin turbocharged 3++litre GTR? (not even the Vspec)
I don't think they are in the same range..
October 17, 2008 3:48 am
Because the GTR only costs around 53k euros, it is only 8k euros more than this 400hp Evo. So the arguement is: why not just get a GTR.
October 17, 2008 4:47 pm
Simply incredible. All EVO X's are fantastic, and I'd take one over many, many an option. This revision is just insane. Price tag though? Never spend this kind of money on a car! Suppose some will have it!
October 19, 2008 4:59 pm
Bigger turbo = bigger turbo lag! :-( Shucks!!!
Hope it gets one of those variable vane turbos that'll reduce turbo lag. For that price, it better be standard!!
