Arash Farboud’s dreams are coming true, slowly but surely. Hopefully, by extension, ours will also come true. But first we must go through what exactly these dreams are, and to glance to the right of you, you can spot the final production version of the Arash AF10 from Arash Cars.

Since the car went into design in 2005, one or two versions have been seen at select motor shows, but finally we see the real thing. Interestingly Arash is going against what one would term ‘traditional’ British practice of using as small an engine block as possible to keep the weight to a minimum. They have sourced GM’s ‘Vette volcano, the 7.0-litre unit producing around 550 bhp. It is good for a 0 – 60mph (96.5 km/h) time of under 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of over 200mph. Transmission is courtesy of a 6-speed manual gearbox from Grazianno, the same people who brought us Ferrari Enzo’s gearbox. Running rubber are 19-inch tyres standard, with an optional 21-inch on offer.

To reduce weight, instead of a small engine Arash has opted for a carbon fiber body shell and chassis, which does not mean comfort compromise as interior is fitted in leather with sat nav standard, as well as an MP3 player and rear view camera with an integrated touch screen. Arash Cars promises a supercharged version later, which will be good for a nice and healthy 850 bhp. We certainly don’t mind, do we?

wow, this looks soooooo much better than the concept they showed on an earlier article. it does look like some other supercars that i'm not going to mention, but it is good looking, and those numbers sound good, don't know about the 21-inch rims though, mabye for the people who want bling i guess....

Agreed! This is nothing more than an Enzo rip off! The two look as if they were born from the same mold. Add the F1 styled spoiler to the front fascia, paint it red, and extend that over sized intake down the side of the car and there you have it.

It will never happen. I bet this is nowhere near production ready. Win Chris Marsh got involved in his last venture it took 2 years and a COMPLETE re-engineering job to make the car production ready in a way that people paying money expect. To date, Arash Farboud has never delivered a car to a customer in spite of this being his third specific model (and the second one went through a heap of spec changes, not unlike this one).

LP640 front air intakes with 997 Turbo LEDs on them... Not to mention that the whole car looks like an Enzo "facelift". Hardboy997, Haha, I totally agree with you, the car could´ve come straight from any Burnout:D

I don't know about the bare CF strip on the bonnet. Besides that, it's a nice looking car. I'll wait until I see lap times before I make a proper judgement, but I don't think it'll be anything short of great.

Originality of design concept and production wins not only sales, but also the respect of established manufacturers. Model name or cache of a supercar brand is also vital to attracting desired target audience.

I have been following Arash Farboud's progress since the GT/GTS models in the 90s, but the AF10 is merely an Enzo/F430 Ferrari clone with 997 911 Turbo LEDs at the front; not original, won't win many friends in the supercar fraternity and certainly won't woo discerning, well-sussed clients. Tut! Tut!
