Both Camaro and challenger has independent rear suspension which enable more handling despite of mustang's rear live axle. Good for them. But wait for new Mustang! It rocks!

6.2 litre 422 hp??:D You gotta be kidding me. Mercedes gets 510hp from a 6.2 V8. It will probably be a really shitty car, just like the mustang

For that price it's a great car, mercedes gives u 510 hp for 150k dollars, and this it's just 31 grant, u are so smart, comparing this 2 cars, what next, you will compare the Chrysler 300C with an S klass merc or a Rols Royce wise guy

How about you research before you type chief. All of the reviews have been saying it doesn't even compare to the Mustang because its on a much higher field. In fact Motor Trend said its more comparable to the G35. And that was just the V6 version. The SS will stomp competition. That's both American, European, and Japanese competitors.

Yes both motors from AMG and GM are 6.2 liter. However, the one in the Camero probably ways at least 50-100 pounds less, gets far better gas mileage and costs probably a third or less to build!

You americans don't know how good you have it. In the UK that same entry level car will probably retail at about $34/35K (20K GBP). Oh and petrol (gas) costs three times as much too. You should all buy one and invite me over...

wait for a year and you get $5000 discount....happens always on American cars...
October 13, 2008 6:27 pm
wow! that is an amzing price, i thought that it would of been lots more...

The 18 inch steel wheels (probably to keep the Camaro LS price below $23K) looks interesting.

LOL new Mustang should be the a LOL for the challenger and tha camaro... Ford still using a prehistoric rear suspension on its sports car is simply out of the league... There is no way the mustang can compete with the Camaro on any term... Can wait for a Z21 Camaro, Supercharged!

You're absolutely right. The V6 Camaro has beauty, brawn and brain and it's more fuel efficient than the Toyota Corolla XRS. It has twice the Horse power, one and a half times the engine displacement and more than twice the torque. The Corolla gives 30mpg on the highway compared to Camaro's 27. All this, coupled with reasonable pricing, tells me that the Camaro is excellent value for money and that Americans should go out in their numbers and support GM with it. I'm not an American either but I'm already brainstorming about ways how I could ship one into my country. Americans don't know how to appreciate anything.

.....Actually, the difference in torque is more like 110 foot pounds more than that of the Corolla, and not doubled plus as I earlier stated.
