Toyo Tires Previews 6 SEMA Projects

Toyo Tires is dressing up some seriously distinguished guests at the 2008 SEMA. Six of these special projects will appear adorned with Toyo Tires special wear. The first is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X wrapped around 265/35R18 Toyo Proxes R1R tires on 18x10-inch AME Tracer 02 wheels. These are better to handle its unique 650 bhp, sourced from the same 2.0-litre engine! This tire has won several forms of competitions.

Next up is a Nissan GT-R, a car that has exceeded its own hype, and perhaps even more. This SEMA version, called GT-RR.com 2009 Nissan GT-R, is a Bulletproof Automotive works creation using 20" Toyo Proxes R888 tires which are a first of their kind for Toyo Tires. Sizes are 285/35ZR20 up front and a 315/30ZR20 on the rear to complement an Amuse Super Tough Titanium (STT) exhaust. We can only imagine the sound, but not for too long…

Bentley fans are also getting Toyo Tire treatment for the Bentley Continental-based Tetsu GTR which is made by ASI. It’s good for 800 bhp, which the 295/25R22 Proxes T1R tires should easily handle. Nakamura Tetsuei art is what you see in the exterior, which is a melding of Japan and the West. Certainly makes for interesting viewing if nothing else.

Truck fans get the massive 2009 Toyota Tundra CrewMax SR5 which features 37x13.50R20 Open Country M/T tires on 20x9-inch BMF S.O.T.A. wheels. For the street rod radical a unique 1931 Studebaker Model 54 4-door sedan has been prepared by Choppin' Block Custom Fab and features Toyo Proxes® 4 tires, 235/40ZR18 in the front and big 275/40ZR20 in the rear.

The sixth ride will soon be announced but rest assured that it will be something special too.
