yeah Taxi, like all 5 series from Bmw or E-classes from Mercedes, this only means it's a good car!!

Ridiculous. Toyota should have a look at what the other secondary manufacturers of this market section are doing, look at C5, Mondeo, Laguna. They have really improved on their designs and hence image. Boring, uninteresting designs are hardly good to gain market share in this category in Europe.

I still can't get used to that new front end.
Bet you that will be the first to get facelifted, not too long after launch.

the difference between this design and mondeo, laguna, C5's designs is that in 4 years you cant even look at this ones but the toyota will always look good... and will always work...

GOSH!!! That bonnet looks like a toilet lid...
Toyota, please, please... why designs like that? I used to like Toyota's originality. The headlights are sooo American... and why the oversized tail lights?

The geriatric department has more flair and spirit than Toyota.

Not class leader in style, who would've expected otherwise but not the worst in its class either... C5, after seeing it a couple of times in the flesh? Not that impressive. Laguna? Plain ugly. Vectra? Boring...
And is the 3 series that pretty? No, but it's a Beemer so it will never be judged negatively as easily.
But back to the Avensis, some angles OK, some a bit akward.

Looks like a Civic rip to me, only that looked better than this fella.

It is quite amazing to have 132 hp from 1.6 liter petrol engine in a family-oriented car. Just 10 years ago it was a usual output from an average 2.0 liter engine albeit with probably higher torque.

Those tail lights look a lot like the new tail lights being used by mazda specially the cx-9 and 6, and the front looks like the crappy front from the new maxima with those sharp crappy head lights
