They just take all the designs and ideas from all the luxury manufacturers and put them in a blender.

Not for me!
Someone, somewhere will buy one... like when they trade down from their Lexus SC. Then again Lexus doesn't sell many of those... not surprising, really!

whats wrong with lexus? this one looks even worse than the first IS. nissan for example is doing a nice job with the 350z and GT-R design. just look at those hondas: i can't stand japanese "powerranger"-style. sorry

I want Toyota to make a nice design for Lexus, but Toyota is terrible at coming up with something original. The back end of this looks like it was thrown together at the last minute. The proportion is terrible.

"All other body panels have been redesigned to maintain design harmony with the three-part folding roof." Um, like they were going to use the sedan's four doors, fixed roof and decklid on a 2-door convertible?
Remarkably downmarket look... awkwardly proportioned though certainly not so much as the Lexus SC. And the swoopy greenhouse doesn't fit the blocky lower body. Nissan/Infiniti should be smiling now...

I own an IS250, it's one of the better looking 4dr sedan on the market to my opinion. But all the great looking lines and elegant design attributes of the sedan have just been thrown out the windows with this convertible...

Neither this Lexus or the Infiniti convertible are perfect but I prefer the Infiniti over this one. This Lexus reminds me of a Pontiac G6 and VW Eos.

This Lexus IS convertible was inevitable in so far as Lexus and the market (especially the USA) needed it as a riposte to the BMW 3-Series convertible.
But in going under the surgeon's "scapel", we have lost probably the most finely resolved, design-wise, small saloons extant. Ouch! It hurts....
