Bring to the US and I might consider Ford to be a legitimate auto manufacturer. PS - The new Focus sucks a fat one.

Who do you have to kill so that cars like this stop cluttering the production line?

Cars like this? Im confused, this car is great compared to the pieces of crap the AMERICAN company gives there own people. General Motors is the only people who are getting that things need to change drastically

The car can be brilliant, it's still in a useless segment.

I must say, the bodykit design looks really good on this. But why on a 4x4? If you take this off-road, all the bumpers will crack because of how low it is.
Now, do the same thing to the focus.

2,5 liter turbocharged petrol engine with only 200 horses? that's BS... the car looks good but it has no real reason to exist.

Are you seriously calling this an off-roader? I wouldn't drive this thing off the road for a meter. It's a car for old people who think it makes them somehow cooler.
And I say again, 200 HP from a 2,5 l petrol engine with a turbocharger is _weak_! Saab for example has a 2,3 liter petrol engine with a turbo that generates 260 HP at 5200 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1800 - 5200 rpm.

I am guessing the saab is running at a higher boost. The kuga will last longer and get better fuel economy. It all depends what you want in a vehicle. HP/liter ratio is a easily misunderstood number. Lots of people, including yourself believe that the higher the number, the more advanced the engine. That is simply not so, a good engine will balance fuel economy, emissions, and power. In the case of a non performance vehicle such as this one, fuel economy and emissions pose a greater influence over engine tuning then power. Hope that helps brighten your understanding of just how pointless hp/liter is.

If they only wanted 200 hp, why not use a smaller engine then? It would have been more economical that way. Audi has a 2 liter TFSI with 211 hp, 350 Nm and it's combined fuel consumption in an A4 Avant is 6,8 l/100km (41,5 mpg). I bet this Kuga can't reach numbers like that.

Those numbers are bs. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/compx2008f.jsp?hiddenField=Manufacturer&year=2009&make=Audi The 2 liter audi a4 gets a max of 23/30mpg. Sure they are possible, but only if you turn off your a/c stereo and do all those other tricks automotive manufacturers do to boost their numbers. If you want to play a comparison game to prove your point, I'll give you two more links. If the vette was making greater then 1 hp per liter it would probably be around 9/12mpg. 2009 A4 Quattro 3.1 liter http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/2008car1tablef.jsp?id=25431 and 2009 Corvette 6.2 liter http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/2008car1tablef.jsp?id=25201

hmm... also, the kuga is a small suv, due to weight aerodynamics and it's smaller engine size, I bet it's final mpg ratings will be about 23/27
