On September 16 we pulled out this image of a Lamborghini teaser. The vehicle shown, or at least its rear diffuser, tail pipes and parts of its rear wheels is a GT. So says Inside Line. According to a Lamborghini insider, the Italians are preparing something of a four-door GT which will be unveiled to the world at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Luxuries will not be spared on the car, which is to be based mainly on the Audi A8 platform.

What it goes up against are the Porsche Panamera and Aston Martin Rapide, and to a certain extent BMW’s super four-door GT based on the CS Concept and Audi’s own A7. While all this may be true, we reckon there is space for a two-door coupe instead of four, saving weight but obviously compromising on practicality as well. It could also be Lambo’s answer to the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano rather than the GTs mentioned above. While we are assured that it is not a super SUV, we still wonder if Lambo, as an exclusive maker of super cars, would gain much by entering these segments of the market. But then again we wondered the same thing about Porsche and its Cayenne back then.

Lambo doesn't remake old cars. That's why they you don't see Walter da'Silva's version of the Miura every now and then and be like "YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!! That's a frikkin MIURA!!!"

I hope it sits on an audi A8 platform, they better get there bad ass cars out now, because with porsche in-control, there soon to eliminate there competition.

To tell you the truth, i can not imagine a Lamborghini as a 4 door. In my eyes, Lamborghini is a supercar with an extoic touch.

I wouldn't say I hate the idea of a 4 door porsche. Hell I like or dislike the idea. But when you say to people porsche, ferrari, lamborghini or even aston martin, they will all think fast supercar or sportcars. So the very idea of any of these companies coming out with a 4 doors is a shacky road to lead on and could be dangerous for the company itself or it may very well do them good, we just have to wait and see.

lambo should not make a 4 door gt they are a sport car maker a sport sav would be better something to compete with the range rover stormer not a saloon car.

Regardless to all the comments, saying that maybe is a new 4 door Lamborghini, or maybe a supe SUV, I had read that Lamborghini was going to unveil the new LP640 SuperVeloce at the Paris Motorshow, but there are two things that no seem right, 1. why if it's a new special edition version of the actual LP640, Lamborghini called it "a new world", and second I don't think it's a Murcielago cause as we had all seen before special edition Lamborghini cars, don't have like a completely new body, and if we look at that picture that thing has a dangerous look and it doesn't look like a Murcielago at all.

I don't think it's a SUV cause the body it's too low as you can see the exhaust pipes are way down for and SUV model, I also don't think it's a four door car, cause it's Lamborghini guys the won't come up with a four door, when they are a supercar maker, and behind the doors of Sant' Agata they only make this beautifull beasts, I really think it's just a new model they are adding to the line-up maybe a more even powerfull and exclusive Lamborghini than the Reventon, or a super car between the LP640 and the Reventon.. The only thing I can say right now, is as we are all dying to know what completes the picture above we will havo to wait until October 2 for the Paris Motorshow to unveil "that new world"

Here's a link of the LP640 SuperVeloce test mule, I actually don't see those exhaust pipes above fitting that LP anywhere, I mean if the SuperVeloce it's so powerful as they are saying I don't think Lamborghini will put such small pipes on it, tehy will have to make an even more big and monstrous exhaust to that machine

A 4 door Lamborghini? Wtf? Whats up with automakers doing things that shouldnt be done? Porsche sedan? Aston Martin sedan? Saab suv? Whats next a Jaguar suv? (if any Jag/Tata people are reading do NOT create an Jaguar suv)
