Images of 9-4X Appears on Chilean Saab Website
Saab9-4X

Official Images and details have appeared on the Saab Chilean website before the model has even made it onto the autoshow circuit. It also sparks strong speculation that the model will be unveiled to the public pretty soon, a betting man may fancy a flutter on the Los Angeles Motor Show which commences in November, way before the expected debut at Detroit next year.

Aside from the couple of images shown on the site, the Chileans have been goo enough to reveal all the important details of the power unit. A 2.0-liter turbo unit is placed in the engine boasting a power figure of 245hp and 400Nm of torque, it propels the model from 0-100km/h in 6.4 seconds before maxing out at 250km/h. Its low displacement of its engine also adds to the impressive fuel consumption figures of 10.6l/km highway and 15.9l/km city equating to 25mpg and 37mpg respectively.

As an indication of pricing when it comes to the States, we can also tell you the Chillean pricing will start at $66,000 including taxes.

16 l/100km on highway is impressive? An Audi A6 3.0 Tdi with 230 HP needs 8l /100km on highway. That's impressive. 16l is a consumption of limousine with V8 engine.

But the mpg figures are still the wrong way round. No diesel? This thing is dead in Europe then...

I think it should say "10.6km/l City and 15.9km/l Highway". 10,6 l/km = 1060 l/100km, which is quite ridiculous.
