You know it's not that bad looking, got a sport edge to it. Now the only question is will be it worth it in the long run to buy.

I'm impressed with gm! the malibu, the G8, ther CTS, the camaro and now the volt. The interiors look great, the designs are very attractive. they've stepped up their game. i really like this Volt. way better looking then the prius, in and out

The center console looks like it will get scratches easily.. I would've liked to see it in some other color than the plasticky and glossy white.. Otherwise, the car looks great!

hmmmm it would have looked much nicer if it were a sedan, there's something about the proportion of the rear of the car that bothers me. anyway, it's a hundred times sexier than a prius!!!

The car does have some resemblance to a few of it's competitors, and the rear of the body, it's very attractive. Now if only GM could come up with a car that's two doors and sporty to go up against the civic with that front end and it will be a hit.

I hope this is a good [and reliable] car, simply for the survival of GM and the North American auto industry. At least the design looks acceptable for a change. I agree with jslcarfan here, the G8, Malibu and CTS are big strides for GM. They've finally stopped being so lazy and arrogant and are looking around to see what the competition is like.

yeah..shocking. or should i say, cocking. so how much this (tr)ipod costs? 2 livers, 4 kidneys, a d*ck and 8 pairs of balls? why couldn't they keep the design simple, like a normal car, and just put that EEElectric, smart engine in. im curious how much it cost CHEVY to make that mp3 player interior, and that bold exterior..and for what money they sell it. i also wonder how many people would want to buy this. until that, im wodering if this will ever hit the market.

It is production, norther. That is what our cars will look like, though I am sure they may do some smaller changes, most hopefully with the center console. As far as the cost, expect the price to be around $40,000 USD. Cheaper for the folks across the pond.

has anyone ever used a laptop outside? lcd screens suck in the sun, I sure hope the same isn't true with this dashboard. Other then that, a very nice 4 door car, that represents a massive step forward in fuel economic vehicles. Now to make it priced equivalently to it's petrol powered counterparts.

Adjust your brightness level.

that only works so well... most laptops at max brightness you have to squint to see on a bright summer day.

I am very pleased overall, and I am happy the interior is so awesome. I think it does look a little chubby but for the most part, I would take over a prius any day. I alos think whats cool is this: For this to be the first version, just think how cool the 2nd gen will be. GM has really stepped up their game, I mean even the shift lever is cool. This will go down as one of the few cars that came to the showroom looking like a futuristic car instead of a car that was 4 years too late. Very cool indeed, very cool. As for the rear, it is a little odd from some angle, however it probably will look way cool at night with those awesome tail lights. Wow! I am very hopeful for this car to succeed and give boring Toyota something to worry about - have you been inside the Prius? Lame interior with painted surfaces that get scratched rigth away. Peace!

Chevy needs to adjust their logo. Gold looks silly.

The want the Badge to appeal to Celebs. Gold is more like 'bling.' Seen how many Prisuses have been sold, now wait for this to sell like newspapers.

It looks really great, interior and exterior are sporty and funky, at last something innovative from the Americans.

If the quality matches up to the great looks and the price is realistic then this will be a runaway success ... this actually looks like a car for the 21st century ... unlike several comments I love the rear in particular and the console looks really slick and futuristic (it's like comparing an iMac to a boring PC ) ... great job GM and Happy Birthday
