Not since the Back to the Future trilogy have we seen such as daredevil stunt like this. A man believed to be a professional stunt man has got the help of a few friends and filmed himself going down a German motorway at speeds of up to 60mph.
Wearing a speedsuit and an aerodynamic helmet, he begins building up the speed with a tow from a high powered bike before they enter the A8 which runs between Stuttgart and Ulm and he lets go and freely glides along the road as other motorists look on in amazement.
The video was originally posted on youtube, before being quickly removed, but fortunately we have managed to obtain a copy for your enjoyment.
Needless to say, the German police are less than happy about the video and are trying to track down the skateboarder who faces charges of interfering with traffic safety and endangering motorists. The stretch of road the stunt was filmed on only had a limit of 80km (50mph), meaning he was technically speeding and if caught could face a large fine and even lose his drivers licence.

wow, that dude it's good, verry cool vid
definitely cool but can i ask you - how do we know the speed he was going?
Did you know the car travelling the same speed could have a speedometer? =o
Tuner_mad, yeahh the car would have a speedometer but we didnt get to see it... so how would we know how fast they were going?
What kind of skate board is that? Wouldn't the bearings heat up and melt the wheels?
ok, great, but nothing really to go wow over, I've seen street luge that was more exciting and faster
I'ze reememberr, whenz I'ze 'uz inn scool that my phizz-ed teacher had usall do some wall sits to make the top leg muscle get tired. Dis guys leg muscle shure be sore after holding that long. Must be gay!!
My mate got caught by the police by radar doing 114.9kmh on a dirt-surfer & he was only wearing shorts & a t-shirt. This German guy is a girl
k wtf... endangering motorists?? their going 50 mph, he's going 60... their in a car... he's on a skateboard... uhhhh HELLO!?!... he's the one endangering himself lol, not the other way around haha. he's also in his own lane... plus... the car's aren't doing 50 mph either, no one ever goes the speeds limit.
At 62mph, those wheels are turning at around 600 rev/min. I don't know much about skateboards, but I have seen conventional skateboard axles. Those must be some variety of high performance -- special alloy/large diameter/(possibly, but not likely) ceramic -- components. Your standard road bicycle is operating at ~75 rpm at that speed, paling by comparison. Car wheels only operate at ~80 rpm at 100kmph. I trust daredevils know what they are doing.
Dude i have done that but i fell off and broke my collarbone! And my speed was only 40 mph!
