Wald Shows their Nissan GT-R Kit Chops
Wald GT-R Sports Line

Wald International has fired a barrage of new body kit packages recently, such as the E90 3-Series, BMW M5 and Mercedes C-Class. And now their latest release, is possibly one of their most important. Wald, in our humble opinion, can be hot and cold with their designs, but it seems they've got a winner with their GT-R Sports Line kit.

Perhaps not as radical as the purpose built GT-R GT500 race car for the Japanese Super GT race series, but Wald's initial design, which is still in development, shows a menacing track-prepped look particularly with the rear wheel arch flairs, rivet clips included. Also in the kit are front bumper fascia, lower rear bumper fascia with integrated diffuser, side skirts, upper rear wing extension and lower lip spoiler on the deck lid - both in carbon fiber.

The front and rear bumper fascias at first glance appear over-styled with excessive air ducts and prominent non-functional rear diffuser, but still somehow manage to compliment the GT-R with just enough restraint without going too far.R

[UPDATE 09.08.2008] - Wald has sent us hi-res versions of the four beauty shots plus six new photos of the GT-R's interior accessories. The beauty shots are not showing the finalized design and will change slightly. Also, Wald informs us that the GT-R Sports Line kit deliveries will not begin until end of 2008 or beginning of 2009 due to high volume of orders.

Although I don't like the front(I think they should keep it a little bit more simple), I have to say this is one of the best looking GT-R kit out there

the diffusor indeed looks pretty the same as the 599 but this doesn´t say it´s bad looking ;) I´d prefer the Nismo package

Anything to liven up the GT-R's questionable styling is welcomed. There's no real notiable difference here but it does looks far more aggressive. I especially like how they detailed and sharpened that small area right below the front headlights to give it an intimidating stare; this also gives the fascia/bumper, fenders, and hood a better, more natural flow.

I think the GT-R looks fine as it is, not to sure of spot lights on the front bumper and the rear wheel guards might disturb its .27 CD?

yes. this is one of the nicest cars made by wald..ive seen. this is a really nice kit. they should scrap the idea of modifying european ones, cause in my opinion they make them like hell. the wheels and the ass on this car are great. but the rear wheel arches are wrong..defenetley wrong.

Aggressive and appealing! it would look much better if they lose the fog-lights

Ok, lose the fins on the side skirts as well! These fins and foglights seam to be the new trade mark of WALD for some reason, I’m glad the M5 got away without them

Front and side skirts would last 30 seconds on rear roads.
