@ dmanero HSV have been using the R8 name since 1999 long before Audi did

Then how did Audi get the rights to use R8, If my memory serves me right, wasn't there a legal dispuit a couple of months back about the use a letter abbrviation between two auto companies?

nice, and for a decent price aswell only $10K more than the calais wagon... i like it. its a shame though holden killed the adventra and HSV the Avalanche

A Shame? They were butt ugly, and full of crap. Holden's latest wagon offering is impressive however.

agreed their latest offerings are very impressive, but my dad has an adventra and he loves it, he is even thinking about extending his lease

Nice car, considering it's Australian.
Likelyhood of a dog vomit-stained trunk = high.
Likelyhood of kids getting school before anyone else = high.
A lot cheaper than an RS6 Avant...if you can live without the image.

Its back looks strong, but it may have some inspiration from porsche cayenne

the R8 in the clubsport has been around since the VT series two, which was about 1999 i think when the new chevrolet engine came in, the Gen III.
thought they were going to work on the rear lighting to match the rest of other models, looking different to the commodore, apparently not
the best lighting i have seen is on this model, the due circle on the sedans are easy to pick out and same with the Maloo R8 (another model with that name on it) from the basic utes
