Toyota will be using the Paris Motor Show that commences at the beginning of October to unveil three very important new models. The first of these models and arguably the most anticipated will be the all-new 2009 Avensis, the brands flagship model for Europe. It features a design described as both sleek and athletic giving it a strong dynamic character, from the initial rear 3/4 shot of the D-segment model released we can see it clearly follows in the footsteps of the current Avensis. An enhanced level of equipment, higher quality and a reduction in CO2 emissions will see this model continue its strong position in the market against rivals such as the Ford Mondeo, Mazda6 and Renault Laguna.
Alongside the European flagship, Toyota will also unveil the full production versions of the IQ and Urban cruiser which follow the pre-production prototypes that were unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.
The IQ will be the world's smallest 4-seater premium car, CO2 emissions will emit just 99g/km and will feature a number of new safety features including the world’s first rear window curtain shield airbags. Meanwhile the 1.4-litre D-4D diesel All Wheel Drive (AWD) Urban Cruiser will boast CO2 emissions of just 133g/km, not a bad figure for the urban all-roader.
Full details on all three models will be released closer to their debuts in Paris.
