BMW X3 Prototype Spotted Once Again

Development accelerated?

In a three way match-up, we have the Mercedes GLK in one corner, the Audi Q5 in another and the BMW X3 in the final corner. Two of these models are new, fresh and healthy where as the third is old and frail and should be ready for a pounding. That is why BMW are putting their foot to the metal on the development of their all-new X3 to stave off the threat of its two main rivals.

We have seen this latest prototype before, that annoying black and white camoflage is hardly forgettable, however a close inspection reveals a few details on the model have developed since we last saw it. The prototype now sports what appears to be full production style headlight and taillights as opposed to the temporary ones we had seen previously. We can also see the front bumper shows its full shape and the grille has extra covering placed over it leading us to believe the full styling is hiding beneath.

The next generation BMW X3 will be slightly longer than the current model allowing a little extra space in the interior as well as a larger market space for the smaller X1. We should see some of the Bavarian automaker's latest technologies available upon launch such as the new night vision system which debuted on the 7-series.

How can anyone tell what its going to look like? All the styling details are being distorted by the camo.

I know! You can't really even begin to imagine how it'll look like in a final production form and people are already judging the look of it.

Most of the X3 haters that have had a go at the camo pictures remind me of the Judges to a Beauty pageant that chose a winner in the dar from stsrt to finish. Bollocks criticism indeed.

I guess if the spy photographers and web sites put one more logo across the image the manufacturer can just save the camo - you can't see the pix from all those logos anymore... ps. the styling of this camo is exceptional, I wonder if there's an extra division at designworks?
