Jason Statham is Once Again Unleashed in Transporter 3
Audi A8 W12 Reprises Role
Ever since his big break in Brit-flick “Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels”, Jason Statham has become one of Hollywood's hardmen. During this time he has successfully played hardball Frank Martin in Transporter 1 & 2, a man who transports packages without questions whilst simultaneously getting into a heap of trouble. Now he returns for a third instalment to the film series and we can now bring you the first teaser trailer.
The Audi A8 W12 will once again play a starring role alongside Statham in the film in which he has moved his low profile business to France. It is directed by Oliver Megaton with a script penned by both Robert Mark Kamen and Luc Besson, the same two who also wrote the first and second Transporter.

i'd like better to see a M5, not an A8 with Jason Statham behind the wheel :) A8 is good car but not for action role.

They got it wrong or rather Audi is hogging the Holiwood Movies by marketing their imaginary car abilities as those shown in the monvies.
I say the SL 65 AMG would have been HOT or better still the CLS 63 AMG.
I'am a Beemer fan but i'd rather see the Merc AMG.

In trailer you can clearly see aluminum polished window caps. A8 W12 doesn’t have them, only S8 has them… and btw I own an 2008 S8.
Btw we can also see a pre-facelift A8 in trailer…

it's an A8 with S line exterior pack. why it's so hard to understand ? There is BMW 5 series 520d with M exterior pack, but it's not an M5; there is Audi A5 1.8T with S line exterior also, but it's nor S5

You know why it's so hard to understand?? because there is no A8 with s-line package :))))
There is an A3/A4/A5 with s-line package, but there is no A8 with S-Line package... heh

OK, you are right and all others, including worldcarfans, are wrong :))
"The Audi A8 W12 will once again play a starring role alongside Statham in the film in which he has moved his low profile business to France"
Oh really, they are completely wrong :))

Dudes..what are you talking about. It's clearly an S8. That chromed grille and polished mirrors are ONLY for the S8. Anybody who says otherwise, is WRONG.

As much as I don't mind seeing the new Transporter, I think they should have left it with only the first one. the second wasn't that great and rarely is the Third any good.
Now the Short movies that BMW put out, those where fun to watch. they placed more attention the the car than the driver, which was nice to watch. so really the Transporter is a knock off the BMW films.

It's a W12...If is a S8, the lettering in the grill is missing...

hahahah it should be the new Jag XF-R (but it`s not here yet) so what about Audi RS6 Sedan

That's a big mistake they're making. In the first part they used a BMW 7, in the second A8 and in the third it sholud have been S65 AMG. They won't use BMW any more because it doesn't look that good anymore. It's 65's turn, I thought they were saving the best for last. I hope that means there will be the forth part. But probalby it's just about money, because A8 is the cheapest of the trio. You can get two 6.0 A8 for the price of one S65 (in our country).

It's an S8, the W12 has body coloured mirrors, this has the aluminum S8 mirrors.

I am a certified Audi brand specialist. I assure you the car in the clip is an S8. The silver mirrors, wheels and chrome vertical fins in the front grill are dead giveaways.

look anywhere u cant find an A8 with an S- line exterior package there is no such thing

the W12 was shown on the previous movie, but this time they seem to swap to the S8, and yea, in some shots we can see the prefacelift a8 as well. He seem to swap cars very often ;)

I also think that he would look better and ease the stunts job in an M5. And the S8 is actually an W12 with 420 bhp.
August 26, 2008 1:40 pm
Ok, I'll bite but then I'm done because this is all getting pretty silly. An S8 has a 5.2L V10 with 450hp. An A8W12 has the 6.0L W12 which currently puts out 450hp. Bentley uses the twin turbo charged version of the W12 and before anyone smarts off the Bentley is "twin" turbo not "bi". And yes, the car shown coming up the alley is in fact a pre-facelift A8L but not having seen the entire movie we have no ideal how the driver came across it as I am sure the director was not trying to pass it off as a new S8.

I don't care if it's an S8 or A8W12, i say the first movie was the best one, it's always the same sh*t with movies from Luc Besson, first one is great and the others are way too exagerate(cars flying, doing loopings... stuff like that) you guys have to see Taxi(great french (car)film from Besson)and you see that the first one was superb, and the others where trash, and the same is happening with the transporter.
August 26, 2008 2:08 pm
C´mon you guys, this is off course an Audi S8!!... By the way, nice car you drive, AmoKK

@slee
It clearly is a FACELIFT S8. S8 because: grill, mirrors.
Facelift because: Blinkers integrated in mirrors, fog lamps in front bumper are square.
What i couldnt see 100%: inside pictures, wheres the carbon ? And wheels: no standard wheels, some kinda chrome wheels on it.
August 26, 2008 3:22 pm
Actually in S8 carbon fiber is stock, but you can order one with a regular wood... there are many options in audi exclusive package
