The Renault Twingo RS was initially unveiled back at the Geneva Motor Show in March, it is due to hit the market next month and ahead of this launch Renault have released the full details about the model as well as some consumer enticing videos.
Power will come courtesy of a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter 16V engine that produces 133hp (99kw) and 160Nm of torque (118 lb-ft), it will launch the Twingo RS from standstill to 100km/h in 8.7seconds and can reach a top speed of 201km/h. Despite the strong performance CO2 emissions stand at 165g/km.
A choice of two trim levels are available, the first of which is the sport chassis option which features a set of 16 inch allow wheels and sliding rear seats as standard. The second option for the more demanding adrenaline junkie, there is the Cup Chassis option which features 17 inch alloy wheels as well as removable rear-bench seats giving the model a possible weight saving of 17kg.
Pricing for the model has been set at €15,600 (in France) and for those who wish to participate in the 'Renault Sport Experience' driving tuition a modest fee of €1 is added to this value.
