When the RS6 was released it was considered that Audi's power war addiction had gone to their head, the 5.0-liter FSI twin turbo V10 monster found under the hood pumps out a massive 580bhp, but judging by the array of tuning kits coming out for the model, the engine is capable of far more.

One of the first to come out was an effort by MTM which brought power output to 656bhp and 579lb-ft (785Nm) of torque and that was just through a bit of ECU tuning. More recently Abt entered the fray with their own version pumping 700bhp and 590lb-ft (800Nm) of torque. However both have been put in their place with a new package released by Audi expert's B&B which possesses a massive 715hp.

The huge increase in power is achieved with B&B's special race exhaust system with high performance racing catalyst along with modifications to the air intake system, and air cooling system as well as a bit of ECU tuning. A set of sports springs lowers the vehicle by 25mm and B&B also offers a special threaded chassis which improves cornering speeds through its adjustable height.

But what is the result of all this tuning? How fast does it really go? Well, figures state that the B&B RS6 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds – that's 0.9 seconds quicker than the factory produced version.

i just wonder how many other cars allow me to take my whole family and my dog from 0 to 100 km/h in a little more than 3.5 sec? Very impressive car with a very impressive engine, those tuners just show it's rear greatness.

You should be very stupid to believe that whit full trunk and your whole family you will reach 100km/h for less than 4 seconds ;)

RS6 is the car for a simple but rich family guy who wants to have fun but without showing off how much money he has.IMO, I would love to have an RS6 avant.

i doubt the 3.6 seconds. i mean, the ABT one has 700BHP, 800NM and the MTM has about 702BHP and both claim 3.9 seconds, so with 15 BHP more 0.3 seconds faster between 3 and 4 seconds? no way!

On an awd car tires have an even greater impact on 0-60 times, we don't know in what conditions these different tuners tested in or if with the same wheel width/tires. Could be possible. You have GT-Rs doing it in 3.8 and some doing it in 3.3.

That is AWESOME...Its incredibly fast and cause its a wagon its so damn practical. I dont have a family but even i wouldn't mind owning the Avant.

well said... BUT while the mustang changes in style and paint schemes and minor upgrades, the audi hardcore tweeks the engine, suspension, ecu, exhaust and more which REALLY matters in a car. :D:D personal choice of course. power/handling over looks for me. (maybe looks after).

yes it has improved power, but from the sounds of the numbers, everyone appears to be slapping on the same ecu/turbo kit. So it's really just the same thing, just choose the logo you like the looks of.

This would be the ultimate road trip machine, except it probably has a range of about 200 miles

the lemons dont like it but there is no american family car with so much power. the americans arent even in the power war. the sl65 black series makes the corvette engine look like the chevy it is. amazing audi

hahahaha. hahahaha. hahahaha. I wonder how much longer he can keep doing this till he gets bored and visits another site. btw, sl65 black series=gold coated pile of shite, even though it's gold coated doesn't mean it isn't shite. For the money there is no way I would buy something that boring/heavy.

You got to be kidding. 0-100km/h in just 3.6 seconds That's in Porches 911 Turbo, Corvette and GT-R class. It is good to claim fast in straight line, but how does it handle in twist and turn track or road?

Oh for goodness sakes, it's a station wagon!

Nice. At least no candy paint, trendy black wheels and a tuner with a bit of history in the pocket. Yep there might be dispute reg acceleration, truth is that results might vary pretty much based on weather conditions, testtrack surface, tires and gearbox software.

And B&B seem to be the only ones who have made any markable canges to the chassi and suspension. So i think the better acceleration is due to those cause over 700bhp is more than enough for an acceleration of 3.6. With optimized distribution and wider wheels easier done than said well not quite bit almost
