If you want fun, get a Ferrari California. If you want a heavy-duty car, buy a Ram. It's that simple.

With most other car and truck companies offering 7-8 speed transmissions and most US firms are just beginning to offer 6 speeds, you are expecting diesel choices for trucks in the US!

oh man your ignorance is huge. Diesel has always been around in trucks in the US, more Diesel trucks have been sold in the US then the total amount of Diesel cars in europe. As to 7-8 speed transmissions, they are good on higher top speed cars, but it you slapped one on a small car, lets say a colbalt, you would be shifting more then you would be under power haha.

Joe - i think he was talking about automatic gearboxes. In Europe there are no 7 or 8 speed manuals on mass production cars. 5and6speed manual is standard. And thats BS that most of them in EU offer 7or8 speed automatic gearboxes. High end car companies only offer them. Most of them offer 5 or 6speed automatics and only few 4speed.

still looks excessively large, shame petrol is still so cheap in America... ?1.30 a litre like in England would soon put paid to 'cars' like these.
