oh thats cool i didnt now that it was german owned? what a cool website.
August 11, 2008 1:24 am
wheels aside, i think it looks kinda cool... and i hate aftermarket mods!
August 10, 2008 10:44 pm
what I find funny is that the rwd murcielago was praised, yet this rwd gallardo is being scorned lol.
August 11, 2008 12:04 am
While you dont care about my 2 cents thats still a hell of a point...cause one is tuned by Edo its automatically better Edo, WCF ? Somehow Heffner doesn't measure up to some imaginable yard-stick ? Lol...
August 11, 2008 1:16 am
**cause one is tuned by Edo its automatically better than Heffner. WCF?**

man , im wondering 0-60 of this beast would be slower than stock AWD,stable HP/torque , what a joke...930BHP doesnt prove anything , americans tend to do it more and more ..look at the jap with stock GT-R only 470 HP..0-60 in 3.3 sec , any american choppers can beat it with their stupid tuning monsters ?..i say hell no ...jap tuners and european tuners are way better than uncle sam
August 11, 2008 1:24 am
I am pretty sure this car could handle its 930hp better then any MB could handle its stupid amounts of hp
August 11, 2008 1:29 am
I love the R34 and an 800hp GT-R is VERY fast but this will be faster if only because of better aerodynamics at speed/ less drag. Very key at high speeds.
August 11, 2008 1:59 am
not to mention this thing can spank corners like nobodies business.
August 11, 2008 4:46 am
Exactly, good point, an R34 could be tuned to corner but the end cost of making an 800hp well-BALANCED GT-R would end up equaling the cost of a stock Gallardo at least.
Just ask Mine's, HKS or any other real Japanese tuning firm.
Still this car would have an edge because of its OEM design, chassis among other things.
August 11, 2008 11:46 am
In order for a gtr to handle like this car, it has to lose 1000lbs, lower its cg about a foot and tweak the roll centers lower to compensate for the new cg. In the end you would end up with a stripped gtr which wouldn't be very fun to drive.
August 11, 2008 2:21 pm
Yeep, The Mine's R34 for example drops 500lbs of weight of the OEM R34s curb weight(it weighs 29950~lbs.) So a major weight reduction would be required.
August 11, 2008 4:40 pm
And even then,it would need much more than that to compete all around with a Tuned Supercar, as you said.
August 11, 2008 4:43 pm
Here in nz there is 800hp R34 GT-Rs for a round 100k with low milage and the fastest GT-R in the world with 1700hp+ does the 1/4mile in 7.57 secs.

hmm, a turbo'd jet engine would be cool, haha imagine the size of the turbo you would have to use.
August 11, 2008 4:47 am
in case you are wondering, no not a turbojet engine, a jet engine with a 2-3 foot diameter turbo charger.
August 11, 2008 4:48 am
it'd take eternity to get spooled!! :P u might need a supercharger to run that turbo charger!! xD
August 11, 2008 7:55 am
I would think a jet engine could spool a turbo pretty darn fast haha, and if you used a smaller turbo you would rip it to shreads.
August 11, 2008 11:19 am
LoL a turbine already comes with a built in turbo.... Hell more than half of it is a compressor and only 1 or 2 blade rows are for the combustion stage, the rest are compressor stages.
August 11, 2008 11:19 am
yes but a jet also uses the exhaust thrust to push there vehicles, to make a really exciting car, you wouldn't run off of jet engine exhaust thrust. You would have it drive the wheels, and the more efficient approach would be to reroute more of the exhaust gas power (hense a pre charging turbo charger) This would drastically increase fuel economy as well as performance for a jet powered car. Also, is the compression blades in a jet considered a turbo charger or a supercharger? they are being run off of the drive shaft, and in a way the driveshaft of a car is also powered by the exhaust gases.
August 11, 2008 2:28 pm
If a car would ever be turbine powered chances are it would be a hybrid where the turbine would generate electricity for electric motors. Now in order to create boost you would need a turbo that is bigger than the turbine, which would defy the idea of a turbine which is a free flow, you would get more hp without the added turbo because all that would do is add weight to the rotating assembly which would GREATLY reduce power. If you want to increase power of a turbine you just make the compressor stage bigger. If you want more power and higher efficiency you piggy back a steam turbine where you use the heat from the exhaust to heat up water and make steam, but that exhaust gas has to flow unrestricted through a rad. Any slight restriction in flow messes up a turbine's output.
August 12, 2008 12:08 pm
yes such a large turbo would greatly restrict the exhaust gases, but all that energy isn't being wasted, its all going back into compressing the air to gain the power lost + much extra. Also, without the turbo most of that energy would have been lost into the air as heat.

stock godzilla spec V will beat it with no problem ...for lambo, i would rather have a clean, fresh gallardo LP 560-4 than this monster on steroid .
August 11, 2008 6:07 am
ha! thats just stupid in the most awesome way. its exactly the sort of insanity you should expect of a lambo =)
August 11, 2008 9:46 am
VW/Audi which Porsche owns 50% now controls Lamborghini, Bugati, and Bently. That is alot of R&D funds and alot of racing heritage.
August 11, 2008 12:05 pm
That is my car, and it has NOT been converted to rear wheel drive. it will retain allwheel drive. Out of the 15 or so Gallardo TT's that have been made, only 2 have been converted to all wheel drive at the owners requests. Car will be redynoed today, it will quite a bit more than 930rwhp.
August 11, 2008 3:48 pm
nice car, but I have a couple questions. 930rwhp? is that just the hp at the rear wheels? what is the total hp? also, how do is your awd version to get more hp then a rwd version at the wheels, after driveline losses and what not?
August 11, 2008 7:17 pm
so...from ur comments, i dig u guys pretty much hate this gallardo, because WCF's journalists say so? don't get it. you know what i found dumb about this article? the fact that it doesen't show clear pictures about the modifications, especially the ones done to the engine. the rest is just wild. though, i think they could've give it nicer wheels.. these seem pretty "simple" and commercial.
August 11, 2008 6:50 pm
To get the total hp, you add 17% to the 930rwhp. As for the haters spouting as to what they would rather have, im pretty used to that. Its common to be an internet warrior these days, but I take solice in knowing I have what I want, not thinking about what I would get if I could, but cant.
August 11, 2008 8:12 pm
Car made 1005rwhp today.

August 11, 2008 10:08 pm
question though, wasn't that car rwd? or did you run the crap out of the front/rear differential?
August 12, 2008 3:10 am
Wow.... so many horse power. I wonder what is the max amount of horsepower a car can handle....EVER!
