The Ferrari California has been well received by the world's media, and that is even before it has its official unveiling at the Paris Motor Show next month. In preparation for the event, the boys (and girls) at the Prancing Horse have been taking the brand new model out for a promotional photo shoot, probably for the trouser wetting press images set to be released.

The California slots in at the bottom of the Ferrari portfolio just below the Scaglietti 612, it is powered by new 460 hp 4.3-Liter V8 Engine placed in the mid-front position of the car and features direct fuel injection and a “flat” crankshaft. It is mated to a brand new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system which enables the California to launch from 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds.

You know the more and more I see this car, the more I'm beginning to like it. Still not like the rear though. Like to see it in another colour though, maybe gunmetal black or silver.

I agree with DMANERO, the front is now likeble, but the back looks like some japanese crazy ass robot.

I just hate the hood. THAT looks cheap and doesn't follow the curves of the car really. Everything else is good.

The hood is the only part that actually carries any historical significance to the name. I look at this thing and think next generation Nissan 350Z, not Ferrari!

I like it, reminds me of a 599, but not fat, more sporty.

I don't like it, it looks like a Saleen, it's American style.

Gorgeous! This car proves Europe is still a better superpower than America, and Europe will escape the fate of being dominated by Muslims, where its automakers are slowly being gobbled up by the oil-rich Arabs. Long live Europe!

So that's probably why they gave it the nomenclature..... "California" Right?

Yes, hence Americas are extentions of European culture space. But finally first "everday car" from Ferrari. Palpable "Californication" of such POS product is a result of little a bit teenager minded clientele on that market, no doubt here.

now this is the obvious result when a Ferrari committed "fornication" with a Maserati and they did not use a condom .
