Glimpse of Chevy Volt Clay Model Teases Production Version Styling

The Chevrolet Volt is probably the only vehicle in General Motors' oversized portfolio of brands and models that could save them and as the saying goes – desperate times call for desperate measures. In a video report for ABC News, GM’s exterior design executive director Michael Simcoe pulls the cover off one of the Chevy Volt clay models in the design studio to partially reveal the front end styling.
This is the kind of move usually unheard of in the automotive industry, automakers generally try to hide their upcoming models in different forms of camoflage before its official unveiling giving the model maximum exposure.
Positive exposure is clearly what the automaker needs following last weeks announcement that General Motors made a second quarter loss of $15.5 billion. Restructuring costs and other charges were blamed, but its declining sales are evident: the revenue has dropped from $45.8 billion last year down to $37.7 billion, much lower than analysts had expected.

Nevermind, I found more pictures. But is it still going to keep this design? How much have they deviated from this concept form till now?
This concept looks pretty bad, in my honest opinion.
