Mercedes-Benz is preparing a new Gullwing, Ferrari is working on the next Enzo, and Pagani is developing a new Zonda... Is there a chance Aston Martin would be out of this supercar effort? No way, and the company has proven that by revealing it is developing a new supercar, the One-77. As the name states, only 77 units of this beauty will be made.

Although the company has not released much about the car besides this single design sketch so far, the One-77 will have a handcrafted body in aluminium, which will be sustained by a carbon-fibre chassis. Light weight chassis combined a 7.0-litre V12 engine expected to produce at least 550 bhp, a top speed that exceeds 350 km/h and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3 seconds is bloody marvelous.  Fortunate ones, these 77 future owners!

this articles not accurate, its actually better than it sounds!! aston are building a limited number of bespoke supercars for 1.2million pounds. for that price you get evrything mentioned above but you also get access to the design and engineering team to build your own aston martin supercar. Current configuration is for a two seater but buyers can customise this to be a 2+2 or convertible and they can change the styling of the car to suit there own tastes, so instead of having a one off car that just has a different leather interior or bodykit, YOU CAN DESIGN YOUR OWN EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR!!!! thats right design your own, adverts were placed in high class papers in the UK at the weekend advertising this to their key demographic, and they have had over 500 inquiries so far. That is why the price is 1.2 million but you get a hell of alot for your money.

I think that tops anything Mercedes and ferrari have in the pipeline, dont you????

Honestly, 550 HP from a 7.0 V12 is a bit on the low side.

Comparatively speaking

Wow!!! It´s like an evolution for a Vantage! The front part remains to 599 GTB. But... V12, 7.0 l O_o OMG!! Very interesting...

This Aston is realy nice... it's true that 550 BHP from a V12 7.0 liters is not much but it accelarates from 0 to 100 in around 3 second, then it's fine ;D

I figure as much...but the beauty of the Original Vanquish was that despite having similarities to the then DB7 and early DB9...it still looked like its own cars. With the bulged rear fenders and the muscular stance. You're right of course but i just would like to see something a bit closer to the original.

This reminds me of the early days of car manufacturing before mass production was even an idea in Henry fords mind. In the early day every car was bespoke and you could customize it to your every desire, well at lest as far as the coach builders skills would allow and as long as you were willing to pay dearly.
