the tortoise often wins... although 35mpg doesn't seem too great for a Smart. Also proves once again that sat-nav isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Nice one guys, Good to see a SMART CAR win. When it is totally out of it's depth. I always wanted TOP GEAR to do a Race Between A Smart Car and a High Performance car, Say from Central London To Edinbrough. Must stick to the SPEED LIMITS and see who gets there first and by what margin.

With the format of the race, any benefit a supercar could possibly offer is lost. Without the handling or performance of the vehicle coming into play I have to question why even drive cars. Give a bunch of competitors a map and make them walk their way across a city and you have basically the same thing. I always thought they moved this event to Europe because of the lower speed limits in the US. Seems to be a rather one-dimensional race compared to the movie.
