This was spotted being tested alongside the (then prototype) SL65 Black a while back, so it's quite possible they'll be running the same powerplant... you don't normally see two pre-production vehicles from different manufacturers testing alongside each other.

The Pagani Zonda hasn't changed in years and this is the "new" model for 2010? Still looks pretty much the same to me. No wonder Pagani didn't bother with much camouflage. Great car though :-)

...bad news for zr1 and the v-spec..

why is that? This car isn't even close to their price range. Might as well compare the zr1/gtr to the enzo while you are at it.

looking closely at the front pictures, omg so much of that is camo. This thing is going to be a fairly hefty change in looks, I am guessing it may get more of a Enzo'ish look by the time the camo gets taken off.

Neah... If you notice, the gap among the body panels are way to wide... Bet it could be a C9... Using zonda bodywork to hide the running gear...

As for the look of the car, I am pretty sure it will look different than this. It's a mule after all...

Joe, the Ariel atom doesnt count...the things a track toy nothing more. This car lacks many creature comforts but nonetheless its still a hell of a lot more usable than the atom.

This is not what the final car will look like, the body is simply there temporary. The Zonda Cinque was the last Zonda, and has been perfected. The new Pagani will not be a Zonda and will look much different.

Dude, what are you talking about, have you even looked at the pervious model along side this one. Clearly the edge are more rounded, the rear intake has been smoothed out. and lastly the front nose has changed too.

Guys the Zonda DOESN'T need to change. Its what you could call a Hyper car....its so rare and special that owning one alone old or new garners more respect than you could ever need. Secondly its design is made for aerodynamics so looks dont matter as much. That being said: "If it aint broke, dont fix it"

but it needs a change. maybe not an estetic change, but at elast an engine change. since it was born, the zonda still has that lump of a v8, 7.3l (wasn't that a v 12?) which i think it is like an american muscle car...big but not so powerfull. i mean it has 600+ bhp. it started at 605 or something and in its last reincarnation it had ..612? pls correct me if im wrong. but i know it didn't touched 620. now, comparing this to other supercars (ferarris, lambos, etc) which all have a 6.0 or 6.5L engine, (v12s of course) but they all have above 630 bhp..or at least 630. this is why i think the zonda should get at least an engine upgrade. it is over 7 litres, and it doesen't even have 650 bhp... nevermind 700. i would be happy if it get the SL AMG Black's engine, but tuned to at least 680 bhp. oh, almost forgot.. way too expensive. i would choose without any hesitation, a v-spec GT-R, or the ZR-1 ...or a lambo, even if this zonda will be faster. and of course it's not as practical as GT-R or the ZR-1, hell maybe not even as a lambo.

Yea but remember, the Enzo for example has a bit more power but it also weighs about 300lbs more. So you're right other supercars might have more power. But Zonda beats them on lightweight. While you're right about all those cars being better deals...lets face it brother, if you had the cash you would buy this car or other $500k supercars before a GT-R or ZR-1. I love both those cars but the truth is that if you can afford the price of admission, you'ld buy this kind of supercar...if you were insanely rich i mean. Besides, we can rest assured this car will in fact get an increase in horsepower :)

The 7.3 is not a V8 but a V12 !!!! There is also the new 6.2 V8 from AMG for the 2010 model?

Why change something thats that darn good lookin. besides it looks quite alot lower and the rooflinig is more like a bulb. And Paganis are special and made specially for each customer unlike the enzo or lp 640.
