The Transportation and Design program at Germany's Pforzheim University, is one of the most prestigious centers for aspiring automotive designers. Famous alumni include Michael Mauer, head of design at Porsche; Peter Faasbender, head of design at Saab; Thomas Ingenlath, head of design at Skoda; and Claus Potthoff, head of exterior design at Audi.
Twice a year an exhibition is held showcasing design projects from graduating masters and diploma students, as well as work from students in earlier semesters of the course. At this year's Pforzheim Summer Show 2008, many awesome projects were recently on display.
