Audi of America today released pricing for two of its newest entries, the 2009 model year Audi A4 sedan and A4 Avant. Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price for the A4 sedan will start at $32,700, while MSRP for the A4 Avant will start at $34,500.
"The combination of efficiency, power, performance and design make the A4 the new segment standard," said Johan de Nysschen, executive vice president, Audi of America. "These are all-new models with added standard features versus the previous generation. And the A4, when equipped with the all-new 2.0 TFSI engine and quattro all-wheel-drive system, delivers better fuel economy and acceleration than the key competitors in this segment."
Audi will begin delivery of customer orders in September 2008, but de Nysschen said that some dealers will have vehicles available for consumer test drives as early as the week of August 10th.
Blake Strong, dealer principal of Strong Audi in Salt Lake City and Audi dealer council chairman, noted that dealers have seen considerable interest in the coming A4 launch.
"I started getting calls early this year," said Strong, "especially after the A4 hit the auto show circuit and photos started to appear. Consumer interest increased as fuel prices rose. The new 2.0 TFSI is a great engine. Add the new engine to the beautiful design and incredible vehicle technology and I feel that this is the perfect car for the time."
The Audi A4 sedan can be equipped with either the all-new 2.0 TFSI 4-cylinder engine or the 3.2 FSI V6 engine. The 2.0 TFSI engine can be configured for front-wheel drive or with Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system. The 3.2 FSI is offered exclusively in the sedan and with the quattro all-wheel-drive system and a 6-speed Tiptronic transmission. The A4 Avant will be equipped with the 2.0 TFSI engine and the quattro all-wheel-drive system.
New for 2009, the 2.0 TFSI engine features more horsepower (211 hp) and significantly more torque (258 lb.-ft.) than the engine it replaces. Rated at 21 miles per gallon city and 27 mpg highway, the 2.0 TFSI engine delivers better fuel economy, and when compared to the all-wheel-drive versions, better 0-to-60 miles per hour acceleration than the key German and Asian competitors in the segment.

if you import from the states to europe you have to pay 19% import tax and 10% customs, 29% would make it more expensive than the EU buy...!!!!
i hope the EU import tax of 10% for cars gets scraped ASAP!!!!
I truly would love to own an Audi. I loved these cars since they were called "Auto Union". I am just glad they still kept the Auto Union symbol.
The one I test drove two weeks ago with just four options (comfort package, metallic paint, alloys, sunroof) was more than $69.000 drive away price.
METATRONMetatron (Hebrew ?????? or ???????) is the name of an angel in Judaism and some branches of Christianity and Islam. There are no references to him in the Jewish Tanakh (Old Testament), Christian Scriptures (New Testament), or the Quran. Although he is mentioned in a few brief passages in the Talmud, Metatron appears primarily in medieval Jewish mystical texts and other post-scriptural esoteric and occult sources. In Rabbinic tradition he is the highest of the angels and serves as the celestial scribe, though there is no consensus as to his genesis, nor is there a Christian consensus on his position in the hierarchy of angels.[1]
